at the Gap Kids in West Oaks Mall. He was buying a ton of clothes for who I assume was his daughter. Had on a very plain pair of shorts and a t-shirt with a mustard stain on it...and a Texas Rangers cap. I had on a Texans hat and my son had on an Astros shirt...he looked at me and kinda nodded as if to say, "ok..you probably know who I am..no one else here does...but you do...hey!"
i didn't exactly carry my camera with me to Gap Kids...sorry!! i was struck by how incredibly ordinary he looked...didn't look like an NBA power forward at all!!!
OK, we have a serious situation here. We have had far too many Rockets player sightings with no photographic evidence to show for it... Here's what we do. Clutch, we know you've been getting a good amount of money from donations, but we're going to have to divert those funds some. We need to get EVERY BBS poster who lives in the Houston area a disposable camera that should be carried around at all times, only to be used for Rockets player and/or coach sightings. These cameras must be carried outside the poster's residence at all times, even for something as menial as a trip to the convenience store. Those guys have the ability to appear ANYWHERE! This is very important, Clutch. We know you work very hard on this site, but those funds MUST be diverted for more important matters. You and your wife will just have to get second jobs. I know it's tough, but you HAVE to be a team player, OK?
Pathetic. I can accept/unederstand newbies making up stories to get attention (Cuttino called me, yeah right), but MadMax has over 2000 posts. Pathetic.
What is the obsession with seeing Rockets' players around town? A) They LIVE HERE! B) There are no expensive cave dwellings where everyday people think they must reside until game nights, in the Houston area. C) They are celebrities in a sense, some are superstar basketball players, and they are icons of the city, but come on, they're just people like you and me...well maybe not me. I am more enamored to see them "show up" to the court on game day, than see them at the orange julius at the mall, but that's just me. Hey guess what....I saw Marvin Zindler at the Taco Bell, but....damn....I forgot my tele-lense and camera!!!!!
If you dont F****** care about it, then don't read it. If you did see Marvin Zindler, go post it on his fan page if he has one. I thinks its interesting to post sightings. If you don't dont believe that it happened, then oh well. If I saw someone I'd post it and like to share it with fellow ccnet fans who are interested. If you don't believe it, its no fricken big deal. Just because you posted that you saw someone,which takes 30 seconds doesn't mean your obesessed.
Most of the Rocket players can be seen at the local clubs like Tonic,Maxxis or simpers. I saw Catp at Maxxis sunday night along with moochie and mobley the week before and Francis tuesday night and Griffin the time he had an injured ankle earlier in the season. I don't take pics because i see these guys all the time, so i'm not really star or athelete struck like most.

Vanessa Williams' best friend lives in my bldg so I see that sorry ass b**** Rick Fox downstairs in the lobbey a few times a year
