I Remember The Sixers ...

    ... it was going to be a super-team when George McGinnis came aboard to join Doug Collins and Julius Erving.

    That Sixer team was the same type of team as the Heat are now ... 3 big stars who need the ball a lot and no dominant center. There weren't enough basketballs to go around, but there was plenty bickering and chemistry problems.

    I predict there won't be enough basketballs in Miami for LBJ, Wade and Bosh.

    Look for chemistry and ego problems from the get-go. I predict the team will win 60-65 games and then get crushed in the conference finals or the NBA finals.

    Following season, crushed again after winning a couple playoff rounds and then those guys are going to all want out of there, and there will be a fire sale.

    What about when moses went on and took over the dr j 76ers team?

    George was gone and the chem was a lot better. Of course, they were one-and-done. No dynasty there.

    Was George McGinnis brought in by management to create this "Big 3" or did he get together with Collins and Dr. J and make the decision himself? Also, were they great friends off the court?
