How wrong am I for this? I honestly feel like one day Yao will have to elbow the **** out of someone or else he will get bullied his entire career. Not bullied as far as punked, but as far as <insert any player> getting away with murder against him. I honestly can't remember any other players coming away with actual battle scars night in and out.

It's obvious the refs are not going to protect him. He doesn't have enforcer type teammates. He needs to just crack someone one day (learn from Mutombo).

    Please pray with me..........

that's pretty much what Dream did in his first years to get respect.. my man used to foul out almost every game and get BS calls.. he started having fights with other players and frequently getting T-d up for talking **** to officials... but after a while, he realized that this doesn't work, and he kept getting called for the same BS calls while Ewing got away with practicing his Karate moves on the court... so after a while, he decided that the only way he can do it is by outplaying everybody.. and he was able to do just that.. he killed everybody and carried the team on his back and won 2 championships despite playing against players in the opposing team AS WELL AS officials...

Ming is amiable by nature.. he is friendly, he is not the guy who goes out and fight with others.. this might be a very good thing (ask Rick Carlisle and Rick Adleman about Artest).. but it might have a negative effect as well.. I just want Yao to get a little bit more aggressive, just a little bit.. and I dont mean aggressive in his basketball moves, because this will probably mess up his game.. I want him to be more aggressive mentally.. to have the mind set that I am going to destroy the guy and kick the living **** out of him... I want him to be like "nobody can dunk over me" , I want to see him committing a hard foul when somebody is trying to dunk over him if he couldn't block it.. because seeing the stuff in highlights is getting old.. I am getting sick of ESPN showing Nate Robinson blocking him (actually, fouling him) every single minute...

So your suggestion is that Yao better to fight back, throw his elbows to whoever dares to bully him? I am imagining one day Yao will throw elbow tosomeone and knock down all the teeth of the poor guys. :D

Did you guys see how pissed off Ming looked after the block and eye poke. He was on the bench and had that look like (these mother ****ers want to play dirty I'll show them a war, I'll give them f***** war!) Its too bad it was only a look. :(

Well, you are basically praying that Yao plays a perfect game night in and night game. And for the perfect game, I didn't mean only the statistics. In order not to be on ESPN highlights, Yao has to be perfect in the sense that he won't get blocked, he won't fall down, he won't let a smaller player grab a rebound from him, he won't let someone dunk on him, etc. It is because it only takes one awkward move/moment from Yao for the ESPN to show him up on the game highlights. So Yao has to be perfect in everything for the whole game. It's realy too much to ask for from the big guy. What can you really do if the ESPN decides to pick on him? It's almost like Yao is under a microscope and they monitor his every move in order to look for his embarrassing moments to put on the game highlights.

I pray for people to know that they should refer to Yao Ming as Yao. It's like saying 'I pray for an evil Paul/Chris/Thabo/Kobe/Tracy/Chris/Ray'. It's getting so annoying.

    It ain't Ming thing.
And it really doesnt matter. We all know he isnt the most atheletic big man out there, and got killed sometimes by embrassing play like this. But you just have to take it along with 26pts/10 rebs a night.
I dont think he will get mad, his nature is too gentle. What I want to see though more is he fires up after shown up by the opponents.

We need a goon like Mengke Bateer on our team.

[Mengke Bateer - A Closer Look] > a biography < by Nadeem Abji
    [IMG]

I know you're thinking "Another f*@c&ing NBA rant? What's wrong with this guy?" I've come to a point in my life where I've accepted the fact that I'm addicted to basketball. So for this rant, I've decided to profile possibly the most intriguing player to ever wear a Raptor uniform. MENGKE BATEER (Pronounced MoNk Bat-UR). When the Raptors first signed this beast and unveiled him at Pacific Mall [China Central], I figured it was a PR stunt to fill the AC seats with Asians. I soon realized I was wrong. Mengke, or Chang Oakley as I like to call him, is Mongolian. He plays for team China, but he is far from Chinese. The huge Mongolian Community in Toronto migrated to Thunder Bay in 1976, so there had to be another reason for signing Mengke. After watching the highlights of the Raps first summer league game, I realized what the raptors were thinking. Mengke is a certified goon. His sole purpose was to come in and protect Vince.. Throw some bows.. and Guff Bruce Bowen (Biyatch). In his first game as a Raptor, Mengke shlacked Linton Johnson in his head, who happened to be talking smack to Vince.. talking smack?? What would Mengke have done if the guy roughed up Vince?? Mongolians don't play! Check out this pic of Mengke lookin Gangsta after decking Shaq..
That's right! The big f@cking Aristotle.. Look at Shaq laying on the ground writhing in pain. Tell me the last time you saw that happen. So what's the point of this rant.. NONE .. I just felt that Mengke deserved a little love and some shine in the spotlight... So go out and support Mengke wherever he lands this year. He is 100% heart. I know I'll be lookin' for a Mengke Bateer #42 Raptors throwback.

What would be so annoying about saying, for example, I pray for an evil Tracy? instead of i pray for an evil McGrady??

    not that annoying really.

Your post, unfortunately, revealed another truth about NBA: no matter who you are and how big you are, you can be nailed by just anyone. this happens to Shaq, and it happens to Yao.

For Yao, whose first priority is absolutely for the team to get a win, he couldn't care less about little things we care, as long as the team gets a win. ESPN can show he dunked by Boykins if they want, and Yao is still focused on the game.

Sometimes it's hard to understand Yao unless we put ourselves in his shoes.
