I don't see how any reasonable trade benefits the team at all. No one is going to be calling us about the availability of Glenn Rice, Kelvin Cato or Moochie Norris, and I want a solid 7-8 players for one year with no changes, anyhow. We must make the playoffs and trading Kenny for a draft pick is rolling the dice on playoff Karma that we don't have. We need to make the playoffs, and do so by building chemistry in the midst of trying to implement a new offense and defense. KT and Mo stay for a year. We just take our chances resigning KT, later. Who is with me? Who wants to join my club: Fans Against Rockets Trade Scenarios
Ill join. ALthough the acronmyn in my opnion wont exactly entice people to join but It works. I think that the team just needs to get more chemistry. KT is constantly being put in trade proposals in "trade threads." My thinking is that for being fairly new to the 3 spot hes doing well and is a big part of this team since hes been around for awhile. Trading KT will chip away at the chemistry we have now. This team is young, talented, and will suprise people this year.
I agree. I think its time to see where our weak areas are going to be with this group. Right now it is very difficult to tell anything with these lineups we are seeing in preseason. Once our likely starting 5 play some games the picture will become a little clearer. 1. Steve/Mooch 2. Mobley/Oscar? 3. Rice/Nachbar 4. Mo/Griff 5. Ming/Cato Looks like a fine team to me, we'll see who doesn't pull their weight. Time will tell. P.S. We have never seen our starting 5 play together - Ever.
DaDakota is da man. So, here's the idea, all club members descend upon any trade scenarios and type this "F*A*R*T*S are better than this trade idea." or FARTS rule!!! or sumpin.
heypartner, what if Pace Mannion (currently playing in Italy) came back to the NBA and we had a chance to get him via trade? Just kidding. Sign me up. I'm behind FARTS.
You're so very right HP. As you stated, there is no reasonable trade out there to benefit us one bit. Trading KT does nothing but cause us to lose one of the best back-up 4s in the NBA. I love this team as it is. Its time to make our stand. Count me as a proud *F*A*R*T*S* member.
