Currently, I am unemployed. I had dinner with my friend tonight, and he told me about his job. He day trades for limited liability corporation in Austin. He says that the company provides the capital for him to trade, and he reaps half of the earnings. If he loses money, he is in the red, and he doesn't get paid. However, if he is in the black, he gets paid, and paid big time. After a couple of months of serious earnings, he bought himself a new car with cash. This sounds way too good to be true, and I smell a scam. It doesn't make sense for a company that has no customers to make money unless they are somehow scamming employees. I did some research, and found that they are legit under SEC, therefore they are a legit corporate entity. If you guys know anything about companies such as this, please fill me in. My friend told me there is an opening, and I am tempted to apply, but the prospects of the job is scaring me. I don't want to be victim of some con job.
If something is too good to be true then it's probably not true... I would read the fine prints on the employment contract carefully.
That's what I'm thinking too, but it bothers me that I can't figure out what the scam is. Also, one of my friends is working there, I hope everything works out out for him. I tried to look up everything on the company or just the trading companies business in general. I just can't figure it out.
