I really need some advice on fundraisers. I am on a women's softball team and we are needing to raise some money. What fundraisers would you all suggest? We are thinking about a carwash, but I would like to have some other options.

If you do a carwash, make sure it's topless...

    carwash is good

please please please don't do a "go to the busy intersection and beg for money to send me to destination X" fundraiser. that drives me nuts when people have their little kids out there doding traffic all day, begging for money so they can go to florida for some tournament.

sell some cookies...wash some cars...something...just please don't beg for it.

One of the most succesful fundraisers I participated in was a pie auction. It was in highschool so it was simple enough to get the word out to family and friends.

The pies had to be home-baked, any type you wanted to make. About thirty people were baking and made a few pies each. I think half of them were set out for a silent auction and the other half were auctioned off with a non-professional auctioneer. Pies went for between $5 to over $100 each.

    Car wash is good...

Or buy candy wholesale and sell it.....

Or discount cards or scratch cards...

    Or ask for donations.

    Sell pizza.

    Some food.

    Good luck!

Garage sale. You can run a snowcone machine or lemonade stand on the side.

Hey candycane, maybe you should tell them how much you want to raise and by when that way they know what type of money you need and when you need it.

The garage sale thing sounds good to me. You know I'll help out with whatever. Candy sales probably won't net much cash, if I think of something I'll let you know when I get home later on candycane. ;)

We are needing to make as much money as possible. We don't actually have a goal. The money is to pay for hotel rooms and entry fees to our tournaments. Entry fee's are our main fee's and range anywhere from 100-200 dollars a tournament. We need money for hotel rooms for our state tournaments that are over 5 hours away. So if I had to guess, we need to raise about 1,000.

We are also considering selling raffle tickets for a $100 drawing. Do any of you know a program that has templates of raffle tickets. You know the $1 a ticket or 6 for $5 thing.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Have some do a carwash, some do a garage sale, some do a lemonade stand or snowcone machine(mmm....snowcones...I would die for one right now), and some do door-to-door sales.

If you have a whole softball team to work with, then use them efficiently and wisely...multi-task.

That's thing Surf, she doesn't know who is on the team one week from the next. People are always having something else to do or another team to play for or something. I think she has maybe 11 or 12 team members which translates into 7 or 8 people helping with the fundraiser yet only 5 will eventually help.

I believe you can buy tickets like that at Wal-Mart candycane. If not you can make some up on Word I'm sure. Just go under labels and choose file folder labels and there should be two columns of labels. Just put a number on the first one, like 123456789MT and on the second one put 123456789CT and change the number up every time. Then print and cut them out.
