Yupp, my old Nike Air have seen their better days and I'm scoping the web for a new pair. I've found some good offers at footlocker, but with all the offers there I'm a little dazzled of what to choose. The Nike Air Zoom? is the second pair of Nike's that had to struggle with my feets, but I wonder if its time for a change. I'm happy with Nike, but I found a couple of good offers on Reeboks that I'm drooling over: Reebok Men's Answer III DMX - Navy/grey The shoe designed and worn by Allen Iverson. Full leather upper with traditional lacing system for custom fit and support. DMX Lite Technology for moving, cushioning, load distribution, lightweight and natural footstrike. Price:$114.99 Now: $39.99 Reebok Men's Blacktop 55th Mid - White/Navy/Silver Worn by Houston Rockets star Steve Francis! Leather upper, compression molded EVA midsole with DMX chamber cushioning unit, solid rubber outsole. Wt. 17.8 oz Price:$84.99 Now: $59.99 Or, I could stick with Nike: Nike Men's Jumpman Team Post - White/Gold/Navy For the team player that works hard to get the job done. Rich full-grain Comfort E leather upper is foam backed for supple feel, dynamic tongue wrap and unique lacing system. Lightweight sculpted Phylon midsole wrapped in regional areas, forefoot Zoom-Air unit and encapsulated Air-Sole heel unit. Durable rubber outsole with vertical flex grooves. Price:$94.99 Now: $39.99 Nike Men's Air Team Max Zoom II - White/Navy/Silver The most complete and highly crafted performance hoop shoe. Rich floater leather upper with non-stretch textile for reinforcement, full Dynamic-fit sleeve, and slow-recovery foam in collar. Full-length Phylon midsole with 3/4-length Air-Sole unit and forefoot Zoom Air unit. Solid rubber outsole with high traction herringbone pattern and Optimal Motion flex grooves. 16.3 oz. Price:$129.99 Now: $59.99 These are just a couple of the offers I found, and I'm already getting confused - think I have to go down to the local store and order the only one they offer and cough up the dough - or not. I've had some problems earlier twisting my ancle but I'm happy to say that its been some time now since my last one. Perhaps I really need bad shoes with loose laces. So - any advice? Or any better offers I need to check out before I order? ------------------ Heath

Please don't buy any of the big brand name sneakers. Most all of them are made in overseas (or local) sweatshops by child labour in squalid conditions. Nike and Reebok are two of the very worst. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.

Nikes and Reeboks are nice, but . . . The don't make anything like Dreams' $35 Spaldings anymore, do they? Those were classic. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey. http://www.clutchtown.com

How bout those Shaq shoes from Dunk.com? Right now I'm sportin the Nike Air Flight Posite 1 and I wanna get 2 but it's a bit over my budget ($149) The Posite 1's feel real good and are great for basketball. ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Yeah, I'm a big man - my first Nike was Higher than my current ones - and I have always been troubled with my ankles, but as I said earlier I've not have any probleams this season. Last season I think I twisted my ankle every 2nd week - Last time actually so bad that I stopped playing. I know I prolly should stop more often cuz my ankle don't get time to heal - but who can blame me - hoops are too fun. I'll give this shoe a serious look as I don't think its that much lower than my current shoe- but then again - how can I say no to the severe price cut on those Reeboks. I don't know - but I sure can't. Nowhere near any footlocker store. ------------------ Heath

Unfortunately, Converse may soon go out of business, because they are "made in the USA". Isn't that sad!
I have a pair of Nike Airsomethings that I normally wear, but I'm still partial to my Converse Rodmans. I got those at a big discount! Those spring shoes are just silly. If shoe companies want a gimmick, bring back the 'Roos. ------------------
