I received an email today and I take it is from someone on this BBS. However, it was in Chinese and even after "installing some language pack", I still have no clue what it says. I hate to discuss this here as I would rather do it off-line from the BBS, but I can't get any responses, so I am posting it here. If the admins think this is inappropriate and want to close/delete the thread, then I understand. surprise!! This is a spam email advertising cheap plane tickets between BeiJing/ShangHai/HongKong et al. Apparently, CC BBS has been a target for spammers since lots of Chinese visit here, LOL

In the first place, how did you know that it was in Mandarin? Could have been Japanese, Korean or what else.
I tried it in Japanese and Korean..it made absolutely no sense. the only encoding that babelfish came out with a decent translation was Chinese Simplified.
