I cant believe its come to this but I am just too frustrated not to post this here, I have to try everything. Im looking for an 80-82 Corvette and 82 is pushing it I really want 80-81. Ive looked like crazy, Im not asking for "go to collectorcartrader.com" or "try ebay", trust me I have done all of that everyday. If you pass by some dealer and happen to see a stingray let me know, if your neighbor has one and let me know, give me any kind of insider info. Anything! I am going crazy trying to find another one. Seriously you see one of these things parked somewhere leave a note on it or something, I will be grateful. These things cost 7-9k for a good one but Ill go over at this point. If no one responds to this I wont be suprised like I said I just had to give it a shot.
Did you forget where it was parked? I'll do some checking. It has to be an 80-82 eh? Check this one out. I don't know if it's still for sale or whatever, but hey, it's an 80. WHOA, just saw the price. . . more than you would want to spend! 12K Hmm . . . have you checked out those Corvette stores? There's one that I've been to in San Antonio that would probably have one, or have a lead on one. If you want, I could get you the number. What kind of shape should it be in?
Thanks for the info, that 80 is nice. Id like the San Antonio store number or website, I havent had experience with those Vette only dealers. Im looking for something that needs no body work, no-minor engine work, with preferably good paint, low miles, and the original engine. I can handle fixing up the interior and paint though. Thanks a lot for the help.

The one I've been to isn't on that list though. I know where it is, but don't know the name. It also could've moved in the year since I was there, but I doubt it. It was on Bandera, just past 410, while going west on Bandera. It's on the right, before the first light. I've driven that road so many times I know each intersection edit: I think the place was called "Corvette World", but Yahoo Yellow Pages lists it at a different address now. They may have moved, or I could be insane . . . maybe both? maybe no Here are the ones in Houston. But I don't know anything about them. I wish I could afford one When I was little, I wanted to grow up and own a Corvette. I had this poster of all the Corvettes ever made, from the first one until 1980-something. Right now I'm happy with my Cutlass Supreme though
The vette from Boogie Nights rules. You could try calling someone over at Corvette's of Houston and they might be able to help you. www.corvettesofhouston.com
I was hoping my father would give me his Vettes at some point (he had a 1968 427 Turbo Jet convertible and a 1963 327 convertible), but he ended up selling them for something else (he's tended to buy older cars more recently, mostly from the '30s and '40s, including the Studebaker from that awful live-action Mr. Magoo movie).
