Anybody have any helpful suggestions? Critiques + Criticism would be nice as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, I guess it does sound a little weird cutting in like that. Suggestion noted. I just want to collect a whole bunch of suggestions now, so I can work them all into a final version. Any suggestions at all will be appreciated.
Can you get the "twinkle" to actually trace or reflect the shadow of the letters themselves? Also the letters seem a bit underdone, maybe some kind of 3-d shadow or something? Maybe even throw a comet/shooting star (downward left diagonal, opposite direction of the twinkle) in the background or something. Try to emulate but not completely co-opt the Orion logo/effect.
Nice suggestions Pouhe, I haven't considered adding a shooting star effect before. Thanks. Jugdish, I see what you mean, I'll work that into my final version. Thank you FFB for the criticism!
How about having the logo rotate forward from an end-on view (_______) to front facing (SSP0929) as that light goes by? I mean, instead of it just popping up from around that line...
The 0 is slightly shorter than all the other letters. The letters are not centered on the line that runs between them. The font on the bottom should be changed, because the squiggle in the R is out of place. Bring the bottom text down from the line by just a single pixel, so it's legible. Do the same with the top text for balance.
sorry, but i just bought the competitor's product . . . whatever it is . . . too much going on. and don't understand all the letters. weird.
The "shiny thingy" fades away too fast, and that makes the logo look dull toward the end. You need to mix in a longer "glitter" effect, and you can adjust it by making it less pronounce so that it's not overdone.
^I agree. I'm not a professional or anything, but I think it would look better if things faded away slower and all together (instead of fading the text first, then the line) Also, it would nice to see the letters appear as the light streaks across, like the glare is "writing" the text. It'd be cool if you found music that synced up too, more of a simple swell of sound as the light streaks across. Right now the music is a lot more complicated than the animation. All in all, though, I like it. 10x better than anything I could do
