Well my '97 Eddie Bauer with 115k miles is finally dying. The Transmission went out and I am putting a used one in to get it up and running then looking for a new or slightly used SUV. I have been driving Eddie Bauer Explorers since around '92, and have been considering the Lincoln Aviator ....but was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions about SUV's that they like. I would like to get one with a 3rd row seat and Sat Nav package if possible. DD
I am gonna get an old one and restore it......but for my everyday car I need one that I can ferry the soccer team around in...... Got to protect our undefeated record !!! DD
Sweet...make sure to get the tow package so that you can trailer that Mustang during and after the resto. Tara picked up a Mercury Mountaneer Premiere Edition...It has the 3v Mustang engine and the tow package. It has 3rd row retractable seating as well.
I am driving a 2005 Nissan pathfinder and I am very happy with it. I actually got it after I owned a new Explorer for 6 months and the transmition gave up on me. there are lots of good SUV's out there. What is your budget? I heard good stuff about the Subaru Tribeca.
I love my '04 Pilot. People make fun of me because its a "family vehicle", but I like the size and comfort it provides - plus I got a helluva deal on it! I also strongly endorse the Toyota 4Runner (drove an '01 for 4 years - never had problem). Seriously DaDa, switch to Japanese SUV's and drive the **** out of them - they last!
I almost bought a 2007 Pathfinder, but ended up with a 2006 Explorer with only 9,000 miles. I like my Explorer but that Pathfinder was very nice. I just couldn't pull the trigger on the extra $8,000. I drive around alot for work and haul stuff so I couldn't justify spending the extra money on the nicer ride that was going to get beat up all the time.
Those Pathfinders can rack up some amazing mileage totals -- my buddy's has about 275,000 miles on it and it runs perfectly.

DD sounds like you need a mazda CX9. 3rd row will hold 7 passengers. Nav is a available along with dvd. Great looking veichle. I encourage you to do some research it really does get the best reviews. now if you want to check out this suv. Lemme know I do sell these things
How much do they go for? Are any slightly used ones available? I am trying to decide between the ZERO percent financing for a new car versus paying less for a slightly used one. DD
64 1/2 is correct. Most correct is the 62 concept. http://www.shnack.com/history/history_history.php?year=1962
That Mazda looks like a cheap knockoff of the Lexus RX... What about a TrailBlazer/Equinox, or a Rendezvous? Even a Pacifica - those things are cool on the interior... But if you're sold on Ford, I'm sure Mazda wouldn't be a bad choice. I'm pretty sure it uses the same V6 block as the Explorer.
