...but I have a job. It just doesnt start till mid-summer. I need some kind of easy, possibly part time job till then. Any ideas? I was thinking about seeing if anyone at the sports radio network (star610) needed help. Do you gys have their email adresses? Any other ideas? -Thanks
Your profile says you live in Spring so maybe you might want to check with UPS at IAH. They always seem to be hiring part-time package handlers. I think they have shifts around the clock.
They are opening a brand new Kohl's and a a Chicken restuarant on 249 and Spring Cypress and I know that they are hiring. That would be easy part time work. The pay would suck but it would be better than the $0 and hour you are making now.
Speaking of jobs, my current contract job is ending sometime around the end of next month. Anyone have any good leads for someone with a year and a half experience with programming (C++, Pascal), web design (HTML, XML), tech. writing, database design (Access), spreadsheets (Excel), a degree in Information Systems and Economics, and a minor in Computer Science? Thanks for any leads! B
They'll give you a job but it will likely be an internship which means working for experience, NOT money. Are you studying communications?
Nope, and no internships needed. I'm looking for cash - not necessarily a lot of it, but some coming my way. Anyway, I appreciate all the ideas.
Personally, if I needed cash, I'd work for a hot shot company. Those guys make great money doing deliveries all day. If you can ride a bike, even better. It's rough on your car, but if you only do it for the summer, it would earn you some cash.
They call them "hot shot delivery services." Mostly, they are for transporting packages or documents around town. Lawyers use them a lot. Someone calls them and says, "I need a box of files taken to Company X by 2pm" and the company sends a delivery driver to handle it. Look in the phone book under "delivery".
