I was going through a box of old hats, jerseys and shirts and found this...lol. Man, I miss those days! (think we're still the only team to beat four fifty win teams in the playoffs - same season... and from the SIXTH seed, baby!)

I remember going to Taco Cabana with a young uncle so we could eat and watch the home games since Payper view was around $40 a game. For the rest of the home games, I listened to them on the spanish radio broadcast. I don't remember the names of the guys calling the games in spanish, but they brought enthusiasm and passion. They were just as good Gene and foley. Speaking of which, I miss Gene and Foley. No offense to the new guys, but they just had the classic voice that translated to awesomeness on the airwaves. Nostalgia got to love it. =) Bring back the red and yellow!
Yeah, those pics are of a shirt I had made after the second championship. I remember after game six of the first one (wasn't in Houston for game seven), the city was like one big family. We pulled up to a red light, flashed our Maxwell jerseys and a cold beer, and a car full of girls followed us to Benigan's at Kirby and 59. Walking from the parking lot to the restaraunt, everyone was hugging, high fiving and you didn't know any of 'em! lol.... it was great.
I agree, I really miss Calvin. There was magic between Murph and Worrell. They could make you laugh, even when we were losing badly. Clyde's getting better, doesn't always say the exact same lines every game. Bull brings much more insight to the game and humor. Anyone else agree?
I agree on Bull, he seems to be really getting the color man gig. I just can't stand Clyde, the guy is just not a color man. The guy brought us a title, so I can live with his bad color analysis for the near future. I will say, he was in rare form during the Magic game, telling SVG to shut up was pretty darn classic.
I recall when the Rockets were playing Barkley's Suns and Charles was asked if he thought Houston had a chance. I recall him saying: "Houston always has a chance with that monster (Hakeem) in the middle". Yes, those were the days when truly Houston DID always have a chance.

not as a sixth seed though and without having HCA in each round and I believe the Rockets beat two sixty win teams that year and nearly a third (wasnt the magic 58-24?)
