This team just looks lost unmotivated no heart, no hussle. I rather see our bench out there then this starting 5. It's like we expect other teams to bow down to our talent and fold. I even miss JVG, he would have been all over the players' faces right now. This effort is unexcusable.
I miss the Tmac that played with some emotions and responded to challenges. I miss the Yao that was a MVP candidate.
We're totally falling for the big 3 gimmick. Except for Brooks, we're no better than the Francis teams ISO and everyone stand around and watch. Of course we're going to be low energy on both sides with such a stagnant offense. We need to move the ball more. When Battier gets back, his energy will hopefully sync with that kind of approach to the game. This kind of ISO offense is just brutal to watch. We're so much better than this. LA announcers are tools.
I wanna say, you indeed overestimate the play of Battier. There are big problems in our defense and offense. Just looking all our starters how sucks they played tonight. This is not a contender team....
This slump is actually a good thing because it makes people realize that we need Shane Battier and he needs to start. Artest should not be starting - he should be the team's 6th man and come in with Brooks. Starting five: Alston (sadly) (20) T-Mac (34) Battier (30) Scola (28) Yao (32) Second unit: Brooks (20) Barry (18) Artest (32) Landry (22) Deke (hopefully soon) (4)
Shane Battier's intangibles can only be seen when he doesn't play. Anyone who wanted to trade Ron for Shane, you got egg on your face now. The Rockets can win without Ron, they'd be hard pressed to win as easily without Shane.
