I think this was posted before, but I can't get over Cynthia Cooper on TV51!....Is she stoned? she sure looks it whenever she speaks into the camera..I miss Lisa Malosky, she was alot more enthusiatic even if rox were losing. Coop's gotta go! or read broadcasting for dummies.
Howard Cossell used to call it, the jockacricity of sports. Just because you are a good athlete doesn't give you a right to be moved to broadcasting, especially doing interviews, which takes a particular talent. Not everyone can do that job, and she clearly can't. I also liked Malosky. Coop isn't that bad, and I definitely think she will get better (how couldn't she) but Malosky was really good at the job and had chemistry with whomever she interviewed.
Yea Coop is realllllly bad at announcing she should stick 2 bball. Man she stutters and dosnt look confedent at all, i guess she'll get used to it though or lets hope she does
I haven't watched a haftime show since the regular season has started and don't plan on it. Malosky was great. I use to watch her at least some of the time. They really screwed that one up.
Some people don't spell very well but they continue to write in public forums, I am CONFEDENT that she'll get better.
I agree. The halftime show is unwatchable and Lisa's professionalism is greatly missed. Coop couldn't make it as a coach and it appears she doesn't have what it takes to be a reporter/interviewer.
I wasn't taking the comments seriously until I watched a few segments myself - and MAN...........whew!!!!!...........she's bad. It's painful to watch - like watching a bad comedian dying on stage. Her dialogue is so forced - there's nothing natural about it. The interviews are horrible. Lisa is sorely missed.

Yeah, she's horrible. She says 'um' about 20 times per minute, and her game analysis is usually the same point just re-worded 3 different ways. Horrible. -Nick-
He didn't take a competent broadcaster's job by posting about this. Cooper did. There is a difference. I think firing Lisa for Cynthia is just bad karma. And I sense you are taking this personally.
Brotha you need to sit back and read what your saying, im not being a hypocrite at all. She gets payed for her job and she should learn 2 do it right. I ALSO said she will get better as time goes but i dont think u read that did u??
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Cooper in halftime action, but judging from previous interviews and hosting opportunities, I never expected her to be a good fit for Malosky's former role. Hey, at least we don't have Cheryl(aka Reggie) Miller!
She is by far the WORST broadcaster I have ever seen! Even I can do better then her and I have social anxiety!!!!
True. Anyway what is with the touching thing she does with the players? To me it is not professional to touch the person you are interviewing save for a begining or closing hand shake or maybe a 'professional' hug. What is with the shoulder and hand touching? Well I have also decided not to watch either. Btw how do the Rox organize the hiring process? Methinks in that situation the key is to hire someone who is personable and will "attract" rather than "repel".
