...the Rockets not only held their own, but also had a chance of beating one of the West's elite teams even after a ridiculous first quarter. We could dwell on the Franics ejection as a reason for this loss, but I think the reason that Francis and Mobley are holding their tongues about the matter is because they're gonna merely use this to fuel their fire. I realize that at this point in the season moral victories don't amount to much, but regardless a great team had to put up a hell of a lot of points to beat us. Historically, the Rockets that we know and love would probably hit a dry spell after a disappointing loss like this one, but I predict Francis and Mobley to go nuts in carrying us the rest of the season. I don't see us losing more than one game, if that at all, during the rest of March. After the T-wolves lose tonight, we'll still only be a game out. I feel bad for the team that's gonna have to face us in the first round. Anything can happen with this team, especially in a five game series(remember those great Denver upset of Seattle during our championship years). ------------------
You're not being over optimistic. The Kings couldn't even beat the Rockets' third string without bringing in their starters. I am confident the Rockets would have stuck to their form, and beaten this team if not for the ejection. I also believe that the Rockets' previous loss to the Kings would have been a win, if not for some horrific officiating in which Bloody Vlaady was allowed to climb all over the Rockets backs to secure the game winning rebound. The series is tied 2-2. ------------------ Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon is the greatest player in the history of basketball. If you disagree, you are not a Rocket fan.
