My friends and I were playing basketball at League America basketball courts on West Gray / Beltway (off I-10) around 8PM and I saw Rashard Lewis in the distance. He was there watching some AAU games, looked real casual. Tons of people asking to take pictures with him, I snuck in for a quick iPhone picture. He's a bit more built than I expected, I know he gets a lot of heat for being too lean for a PF. Maybe it's just weight he gained from relaxing in the off season.
Did you tell him he is one of the most overpaid players in the NBA, and at that cost I'm ecstatic he isn't in Houston?
kinda irrelevant, but dood behind you's face is really clear while everything is blurry. You should've at least high five'd him and be like "YEAAHH BFF FOREVER!"
So by "met him" you meant "took a picture of the back of his head"... Seriously though, I'm glad we didn't end up landing that guy on the Rockets. He looked real good in that last season or so in Seattle before the injury and move to Orlando.
When I sat near the bench at a Warriors-Hornets game a few years back, I had a running dialogue with Tyson Chandler about: how he was stealing from the Hornets, averaged a single-single, loved to wear relatively short-shorts, and how Biedrins of all people were dominating him that night. I kept it clean. He took it in stride and dropped a few lines on me during the game. It was pretty weak smack from him. My favorite part was when a scrub player goes you know he is making 10 million plus a year, right? And I said, yeah I know, that is why I think he is robbing the Hornets. I am not usually a heckler, but that night I had a few extra drinks. It was fun, and Chandler seemed like a nice guy. Now I feel bit bad that my prediction came true, he is scrub that keeps bouncing from team to team now.
I probably wouldn't because I'm not an ass in person, but trust me, I'm not afraid of multi-millionaires hitting me. I'd love to go cash my settlement check.
