    He performed at a benefit at the Continental Club last night. Extremely funny. Saw quite a few childhood friends. Got to meet the man and have my pic taken with him. Fun night.

    His best lines were this one about the Governor:

    "Ah got me a better head of hair than Governor Perry does. It's just in a place I can't show ya!"


    And this one about his own campaign for Governor in 2006:

    "I'm running to fight the wussification of the state of Texas. This state never got anywhere being politically correct!"

    Wow, RocketMan Tex. That must have been a fun night. I've read his stuff and it's great. Seeing him live must have been even better.

    I've loved Kinky Friedman for a long time. He's a great Texan, writer, singer/songwriter. I got to meet him once at a show in Gruene Hall. I then saw him a couple of different times in NY. He's always a good wit.

    I wish I was in Texas to vote for him.
