I'm currently in Phoenix for the holidays. When I left IAH this morning, I happened to notice this particularly cute little girl of about 4-5 years old. Then her daddy picked her up, and she went up and up and up. Jebus Glen Rice is taller than all hell. A lot taller than he looks on TV, anyway. It being the holidays and all, and since he was with his family, I didn't want to bug him. I did say hello and asked him how his knees were doing as I shook his hand. He said he was doing better. I said something about how I couldn't wait to see him back on the floor again, and that was the end. Sorry, no pics or blood samples. He seemed genuinely nice though, and shook my hand readily. I admit Iwas a bit star-struck: he's the first all-star I've ever met. Go on, Glen and get better. I think I found your shot at baggage claim.
hehe I've met him before at the Galleria. I also shook his hand and he gave my girl and autograph. I think he was with the Hornets back then and I asked him to take it easy on the Rockets that evening. He was pretty nice to me too.
Glen fits in here in houston so far..... I've seen him with mo and francise and they look lke genuine friends. I hope he can get his game going, i lke him a lot.
since it is christmas i won't make the mean comment about him not dropping the child Rocket River GET YA SHOT BACK GLEN!! Go Rockets
I saw Willis yesterday in Neiman Marcos. Unlike some people, I 've been around these pro players a lot, so it doesn't strike me like some. I gave the standard , whats up, with the head and continued my shopping. I think Glen is on the il to get his conditioning down more than him actually being injured.
Ha, no I just meant "up and up and up" because Glen's so damn tall. He looked a hell of a lot taller than he ever does on TV, which is to be expected of course, he's just taller than I imagined he would be. I've stood next to Jason Collier, so I didn't expect Glen to be quite so tall. Really nice guy. I never expected him to be so nice and cool. I guess I just expected more....well....something. He acted like a friend I hadn't seen a a long time, and not like some multi-millionaire super star.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh.....I feel dumb. Mus' be all the red wine flowing like water over the holidays clouding my brain. Otherwise, I might have caught that.
