The Rockets have been playing great ball the last couple of months, heck the whole year. I know we lose at times, but I mean we aren't a perfect team. We have obvious holes, but thankfully we been able to cover them enough which is why we have a winning record.

I don't post here much, but I love this place. Many people filled with knowledge and excited about the team I love. It just gets sort of sickening reading all the negative crap. I understand that Rafer isn't Nash. I understand JVG isn't like Avery Johnson. Many of yall though refuse to move on, and instaed keep on whining even though there isn't a damn thing you can do about the team we have right now.

    Accept the following facts:
-We are a team filled with veterans as our primary role players.
-Deke will give us what he can.
-JVG is not going to change his rotation patters to satisfy the posters at the BBS.
-Rafer is going to continue playing major minutes.
-V-Span is not going to get off the bench, accept it.
-Our primary role players are not athletic therefore it's only natural we look like crap against teams with so much young talent.
-We will win some and we will lose some, what matters is the playoffs.

I'm optimistic about the playoffs. I'll be content if we get out of the first round. It's been 10 years since we last saw a Rockets team advance past the first round. I'm excited about this team because they've shown us what they can do. JVG is an excellent coach. He might be stubborn at times with his rotations, but it's worked for most of the season, I don't see why losing should change his game plan every game.

I know many of us have been a Rockets fan for a really long time. It's time you sit back and enjoy the team you have now. It's been a while since we've had awesome spacing and a team that can run a pretty good fast break. It's been a while since our team has looked so good. Think about the teams the Rockets have had these past ten years and the one we have now. It's amazing how many changes we've made, but we finally have a decent team that can possible contend for a championship. We can't win every games guys, so just relax.

I know many are frustrated by JVG's sub patters and for the Rockets not making a move at the trading deadline, but we are still winning, although we're in a defensive slump right now, but the bottomline is, we are still a great team.

I think that losing a few now will help easing Yao back in. It's much better to lose them without Yao and to get him back into the rotation then, instead of going on a winning streak, then getting Yao back, losing a couple of games, and having some idiots pop up who say we'd be better off without Yao.

disagree . I cant applaud ineptitude by this team. Otherwise Id be like a wife thats get beat and takes it. There needs to be a change. New gm, new coach, new pf,new pg,new sg. And if Durant is obtainable , a new sf also.

I bet it's still going to happen.

I think people need to mature. Being a fan means supporting your team. I know it's hard to lose, but goodness, 82-0 although not impossible, would be something pretty hard to do.

I'm just glad that McGrady actually is playing the way nature intended him to play, and that we have Yao in the sidelines waiting to join. I guess I'm just excited about this team.

Okay, then you can't like this team. When we win, we have the same coach and the same substitution patters and when we lose it doesn't change, it's still the same thing.

You are either with us or against us, choose.

Wait, do you want to get rid of T-Mac or just add another sg?

    Nicely put!

Here is an idea, we should create a sticky thread with the names of all this fake die-hard fans who jumpoff the bandwagon after evey lose and not let them get back on once Yao and T-Mac bring home the trophy!

These threads are as predictable as the bashing threads. Rah, rah, I am a true fan and you are not. So, anybody got anything really orginal. Like why the Rockets are losing to teams in the "cupcake" part of the schedule. The Raptors are really improved, but the Hawks and the Celtics aren't. A playoff team in the playoffs stretch should not be losing to these teams, especially at home, fan or no fan. I think the team has picked a bad time to have a slump. And by the way, everyone on this board is an out of their mind fan or they wouldn't post here. :p

I mostly agree with your points, and I am certainly prone to discussing the negative points of the Rockets.

However, I am concerned about the playoffs as our lack of perimeter foot speed is going to leave us very vulnerable...as Yao will probably be LESS mobile and more prone to fouls.

I just don't think we are there yet, and figured we are still a year or so away, which is why I want the young guys to be in the rotation.

We are losing because teams find it easy to guard Tracy McGrady. It's easy to send a double team and let the other players beat us.

Deke and Juwan are not producing at the same rate, and plus it sucks when they play against athletic teams because they become even more ineffective.

It's a mixture of many things, but to blame it on bad substitution patters or JVG stubborness is pretty stupid. People act as if there weren't scouts scouting our team.

It's plain and simple, our role players don't produce we lose. Tracy McGrady will always do his part whether is distributing the ball or scoring in bunches, but the man can't carry this team alone the whole time. The role players have to keep producing otherwise we lose plain and simple.

ummmmmmm i don't really think the rockets are playing great ball......THAT JUST MY OPINION

    loss to the hawks
loss to the celtics @ home
loss to the raptors @home (on red rowdie night)

if we would have won those games....we would have a 38-19 record which would then give us and utah a tie. now we are 3 games behing utah and lakers have stopped there drought from before the all-star game and are starting to win.

the only thing we can hope is that we don't lose anymore than 2 games until yao gets back cause if we lose 3 games before yao gets back that will put us def. at the 6th spot.

all i can hope for is that when yao gets back we start dicking our opponents and utah and s.a. start to lose

p.s.- R.I.P. to Shaun Livingston's career, may his game rest in peace.

Yes, but it is up to the coach to put in a system in place which takes advantage of the other team's doubling TMac....ever since the Dallas game, teams have been doubling him earlier and earlier in the game, and we do not have an answer.

IMHO, we need another person on the floor who can attack the rim and set up their teamates to take advantage of the 4 on 3 situation. Rafer & Luther are just not good at that right now.

We need another creator out there a dribble penetrator, be it Snyder or V-Span, someone who can break down other team's defense when they go to the double Tmac up top strategy.....

I don't think V-span would work to well. I think since JVG has such a short leash on him, he is afraid turn the ball over, and therefore he ends up turning the ball over.

Snyder, I actually would love to see him play, but I guess he just has to be patient as we do as well.

We need to drop down to the 7th or 8th seed so we have a better chance at drafting Yi!
