There's is nothing like summer in the Lone Star State and it's just right around the corner. 1. Floating the Comal/Guadalupe River on the weekends is uh-mazing. Especially with a cold Lone Star Light or Shiner Bock in your had. 2. Road trips. I always take a road trip to see my Astros. I'm not a fair weather fan so I support them no matter what. I'll be in Arlington and L.A. this summer and I plan to check out new Yankees Stadium. 3. BBQ's. It's that time of the year to get your steaks, burgers and brats on the grill and I always have a party a month or go to one. 4. NFL training camps. It's just right around the corner. The Texans are here in Houston and the Cowboys are in San Antonio. Take your pick. 5. Pool parties. Nothing like seeing hot-Houston babes in bikinis. Enough said. Take advantage while your young. I love summer!
if i could rep you i would, summer has it's advantages, not liking summer is like somone not liking christmas, so what you sweat, get over it
I love summer here in Seattle. I didn't care for it too much when I lived in Houston. Now, summer means mountain hiking, dogs swimming in the lake, gardening, visits to the zoo (4 blocks from my house), heirloom tomatoes, and blackberry picking.
I'm neutral on summer....but I'm not going to start a thread on it. Combine the best and worst of the two threads, and you have my take on Houston summers. Which is why I plan on vacationing in Colorado, Oregon, etc. All the good of summer (well, less swimming pool action I guess) with much more tolerable weather and more geographic beauty.
Big fan. Taking the top off the Jeep and heading down to Galveston. Sitting by the pool all day and night. Getting rid of pale skin. Beers taste better. Football is three months away. Tracking the tropics on Wunderground. Sleeping nude and not getting diamond hard nipples. Wait...
I love the summer. I love the girls of summer. I like it when the girls stop by.. In the summer. Do you remember? Do you remember when we met... that summer. New Kids on the block had a bunch of hits. Chinese food makes me sick. And I think it's fly when girls stop by for the summer. I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch. I'd take her if I had one wish, but she's been gone since that summe. Since that summer.
Dang, not good to hear. We head to Spring Branch every July 4th weekend for fun and river. And it seems the river has been this way for a couple of years now. There is no joy in paddling for 100ft then dragging the kayak for 20ft, paddle, drag, paddle, drag (funny, I just thought of the old Harely Davidson expression: ride one mile, push two.) Oh, and I do love my summers!
