I make a negative remark about Yao and some YOF chimes in with don't worry, if this disrespect keeps up Yao will not be Houston's problem much longer, HAHA. First of all, I doubt ANY of you know the guy and that he sits around telling you how much we hurt his little feelings and that he's going to show us internet message board people a lesson and leave Houston, so stop pretending you all know what Yao is thinking. Secondly, Yao leaving is what I wanted anyway, so you're basically threatening to give me what I want. Flippin' idiots. I swear. Thirdly, if Yao does leave enjoy your life for the next few years cyber-following Yao around from NBA city to NBA city defending your Hero from the cruel and viscious NBA fans who do not understand the kind of player and person Yao is. Enjoy convincing everyone that one of the tallest people ever to play a tall man's game is somehow best serving his team when he is shooting jump shots because he is too much of a mental midget to bang around with the big boys. Yao has more skills then anyone ever to play the game at that size, but that alone will not make him into a champion, he has to want to be the best and until he does all you YOFs will have your work cut out for you blindly defending his style of play from fans whether they be in Houston or in any other NBA city. So flame on, because you must defend the honor of Yao on the big bad internet because we all know he is not willing to defend his own honor on the court.
I love it when I see one of the most productive (post count wise) non-contributing member of this bbs get smacked down like a bug and thread lock down counting...
I too find posters who follow players more than teams to be annoying (YOFs, SOFs, etc.). However, I do like Yao and I think that if he can get over than 19.4 - 9.7 hump and be the 20/10 guy he is expected to be, then he will be a great asset to the team. I don't understand why any Rocket fan would want him to go just becasue he doesn't play up to his potential... I mean, he is still better than every other center in the West - so what if he COULD see 30 and 15 - but doesn't. Shaq COULD shoot free throws better, but that doesn't mean he is not the best Center in the East. I just don't get it. Maybe you are saying that you want Yao to go b/c of YOF's - if so, (and you are a Rocket fan) I would suggest that you are being fairly short sighted...
and by the way as a non-contributing member you did waste lot of bandwidth here by posting your meaningless 'i exist because i hate and provoke' posts.
I love it when I make a negative comment about AI and AOFs get all crazy trying to defend him. The Pistons are much better than AI, period.
AI has more skills then anyone ever to play the game at that size, but that alone will not make him into a champion, he has to want to be the best and until he does all you AOFs will have your work cut out for you blindly defending his style of play from fans whether they be in Illy or in any other NBA city. The bottom line is AI = no rings. Pistons = multiple rings. What don't you understand? AI will never win a ring for as long as Pistions is the starting center.
A.I is a great player. I'd rank him above Kevin G., Kobe B., Shaq O., and probably even the late Michael J. The dude can play
I am not trying to be funny. This thread is looking for a flame war, and it should have been posted in the other Yao sucks thread. So far, I am doing a pretty good job at putting out the flame, as 90% of the replies are directed at me. The thread starter is probably not too happy about it, as he is screaming for attention. It also proves that AI has got to go.
Regardless of the content of this thread, you (Summer Song Giver) should be harshly b!tchslapped for making a thread with that stupid title of "I love it when..." foul! -- droxford
Are you speaking in code?! Who and what are you talking about? I s'pose I should stop replying and let this go away.
If you think AI is a better player than Shaq and KG, you are out of your mind. The way he shoots full court shots reminds me of the Hornets.
Thanks, I feel fine. Anyway, about Yao... I recall people saying that if Yao one day became a Rik Smits type player we'd be happy. Well, he already is, and its only his third year. I don't think he's peaked yet and the guy is young. Remember we almost traded Hakeem before he developed into the truly all-world player from the championship teams. I think people's unwillingness to have the patience to allow a player/team to develop is one of the biggest problems in the NBA these days. We should be happy Yao has not reached his full potential yet (i.e. that he will still get better). Why is it necessarily a negative that he has not yet fulfilled his potential at 25? I'm 25 and I sure as hell hope I haven't tapped out my potential.
