2 things that leave a bad taste in my mouth are the way the hakeem thing went sour and most of all, the only thing he ever talks about is the championships, even in 02 i remember ready after be beat ny "the game had the atmosphere of the finals" enough already, i am greatful for what he did,he did do a great job. even his bobblehead says the same stuff.
to be honest, even after hearing Rudy say the same things a million times, i never get tired of them. dont know why. maybe its the way he says it? but i will ALWAYS love Rudy, no matter what. He is the true Rocket. And dont blame him for what happened to Hakeem. Nobody knows really. some say he wanted a bigger role and more money. some say the Rockets ousted him.....i cant tell, so i wont blame either party. i just go on and worry instead about cheering at the Toyota Center tonite against the Kings!
man everyone else in this forum whines about francis,or jvg,or yao, thats not much better.... first off, i think rudy did a great job and i loved our team now, during and before our titles, all i am sayin is that is all he ever talks about, thats all, whats wrong with that?
Because it's not true and it's a minimal thing to bash even if it were true. And while he has spoke about the championships somewhat. Aren't those the highlights of his career would you rather him talk how happy he is about his daughter getting accepted into med school are his wife's new azalea garden that he has been helping her with.
It is not even uncommon for coaches who have not played in the championships, much less won a couple, to compare a game's atmosphere to a championship game. Rudy does it, not to remind you that he won something, but just as an analogy to make people understand what a game was like.
it just seemed like thats all he talked about alot, almost every interview. i guess it was just annoying cuz it was tough seeing my team be a lottoe and all i would hear at times was "well the championship..."
