Yeah, I'd take Ming or Wagner or Williams over him, but let's assume we get the 7th -10th pick again (if we even get to keep it), I think Carlos Boozer would be an excellent pickup.

He's big enough to play the 5 on an athletic running team-- which we are becoming.

He'll bang. He'll board. He runs well for a big guy AND he's a darn good free-throw shooter.

    Anyone agree? Disagree?

Big enough to play the 5?

I'm not sure he'll be big enough to play the 4.

He tends to disappear at times. Maybe it's because he's on the same team as Jason Williams.

He is listed at 6 ft 9, and is probably just a shade under that.

    He will be a PF.

He definitely has the bulk and strength to play the 4/5.

He also has a VERY raw offensive game. Seems like half of his points come off of wide open dunks.

I think Boozer is exceptionally smooth for a big guy.

6-9 is small for the post but he is strong and quick for his size.

He creates his own shot a lot out of the post. I see a lot of Duke games.

He's probably only a year older than EG, so he may grow some more, too.

He'll run the floor, take it to the hole, make free throws.

Yeah, I'm a Duke fan, but I think he'll surprise in the NBA.

He's may be an effective five in t he way Thorpe was a five. Good enough to be effective for short term use there giving a 38 minute man a breather, but will make a living at the 4.

Before the draft last year, he would fit the rockets. Now the rockets have two good PFs, and a third with starter experience. If KT is traded, he would make a lot more sense.
