    please think before you start threads about the Rockets signing a player or trading for player(s) that makes no sense. I've been a member here for a while now and really don't post much, but always had a sense of pride being a member of a fan site with so much class and insight. There are people here that really know their basketball....sports for that matter. You can come here and learn everything you need to know about OUR team and if you read enough...you'll learn about the NBA, it's rules and regulations. I'm just asking the new comers to try it before making threads about trading Spoon and Charlie Ward for Jason Kidd because Kidd is mad or "Let's go after Joe Johnson!! He would fit nice!!!!!. Come on! I could go on and on about the silly threads, but I don't want to take up any more bandwidth than I have to.

    So.....just a request. New Comers, "Think before you Post!" Like I said, you are entitled to your opinion, but so is everyone else when the kitchen gets hot around you. This site can be very informative if you take the time to read and learn before posting garbage.

    My two cents is on the table.....you guys can close this one if need be.

    I agree, but couldn't there be a "sticky" or dedicated thread for player acquistions? It has been suggested many times. There must be some reason such is not feasible.

    let's play the "most preposterous" trade game, I'll start:

    Moochie and Baker for Dwayne Wade, since J.Williams is now the point in Miami, Wade probably wants out. Wade played with Wang Zhizhi, therefore, he must know Yao really well and will want to play with him.

    I just get irriated seeing it day in and day out. I expect sooo much more than what the members "new members" are giving. When I was a new member......I already new a lot about basketball, but I read the site and learned so much more.

    I think the noob threads are a necessary evil. They help to show the new guys the ropes. Guys will either learn to think more before they post, or they won't make it here for long. We like to eat our own here at the bbs.

    I agree...I've been a member here for a while as well and post rarely because of the preposterous trade ideas or "signings"...sometimes it just gets ridiculous...

    You have a point there ... But if you notice the offseason is the slowest this Board is going to get. So any Posting is actually something to look forward too. I mean if you took away all the stupid Trade ideas I imagine that this board will get rather dull and loose some members unitil the season starts.

    I think admin could create a Trade/FA Forum and have all those proposed Trade and Rumors post on that forum. This forum could only allow to post Infos that has been confirmed by reliable source.

    I understand what you are trying to say and agree, however there is an easy solution...........

    just don't open them and don't reply to them!!!

    That is what I do, by replying to them it gives the thread life, by not replying allows it to have a slow, painful death - something it probably deserves.

    ...among others when I say:

    in the off season, I love these lets trade Ward and Spoon for Joe Johnson or Kobe or KG (plus picks) threads because they are ripe for derailment and smack downs

    however, when someone posts that we should sign a player that has already signed with another team OR suggests that we should do a sign in trade with a team like Portland, who ALREADY turned us down for a sign and trade for a different player

    ...that is just ignorant !
