Rich Gannon just dominated the Denver Broncos like he was in practice against no defense.

    34 of 38 352 yards 3 TD 0 INT

Set NFL Record with 21 straight completions, and it should have been more but they missed a call.

Great win, I don't care if the Raiders go 5-11, This season rocks.

Great game, but far from the greatest of all-time. If he was asked to actually throw the ball more than 5 yards from the LOS, then yes.

I think John Elway or Montana had the two greatest performances ever. Maybe not numbers wise, but just finding a way to win.

Yes Moe it was indeed a wonderful thing. Damn the Raiders were pissed. They finally put together a complete game and it couldnt have happened at a better time or vs a better team. And if it was so easy to throw 5 yards from the LOS 20 some odd times without a incompletion then someone would surely have the record broken long ago. That many completions in a row is hard however you get it- especially vs a quality team on the road.
Plus a few quite were a bit longer like the strikes to Porter, Garner and Rice.
I wont consider the season a success till they repay the Patriots. Wins in Pitt, Denver and a win vs. NE and I wont care if they lose the rest either. Hopefully though, this turns things around.

Warren Moon throwing for over 500 yards against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium was the greatest QB performance I've ever seen.

And robbed of the single game yardage record when a 40 yard completion to Drew Hill was ruled out of bounds when replays showed his foot was inbounds. I remember watching that game.

Excellent game by Gannon and the Raiders. I cannot understand why the Broncos continued to drop 9 and rush 2. You cannot give a QB like Gannon that much time to find an open receiver especially with a a couple of crafty vets like Rice and Brown. I dont think it was the greatest performance of all time by a QB it was certainly a stellar performance.

And Warren did that against the #1 pass defense. AND in the snow. I don't think anybody can top that. It was just an amazing effort.

By the way, it was nice to See that the Miami-Hou monday night game (1978) is so well repsected. Wish I would have seen it. They say it was one of the great games ever.

Congrats to moe, Scary, and the rest of the Raider fans.

I got so disgusted that I turned the game off when it got to 27-7. Absolutely pathetic showing by the Broncos defense.

Ray Rhodes showed why he couldn't last as a head coach.

Hello, McFly, I mean McRhodes...you can't rush 2 people all game long against Gannon. You got to bring some pressure, every once and a while, jabroni jackass.

I heard on the radio today that Griese was voted most disliked sports personality in Denver by a poll.

he was also voted 6th most obnoxious sports personality.

Why so much hatred for Griese? Just b/c he isn't Elway? If thats the case, I feel sorry for every QB that ever plays in Denver again. As much as I hate Elway, he is one of the top 3 quarterbacks of all time and it will be nearly impossilbe to match his career.

    Broncos fans were spoiled! ;)

I don't remember any snow on the ground but it was a windy, wet day I think. I remember that it was typical run and shoot, piling on yards and not able to get into the end zone. Only Warren Moon could throw for 500 yards and only score 3 TD's. It was a pretty cool game though.

Let me see what else I can come up with... oh yeah, only the Oilers would try to execute the run and shoot with three possesion receivers. There... :D

    :)

you think e.g. was a possession receiver? i'll grant you, our receivers weren't speed burners and have very few open-field skills...but damn, they were fun to watch back then!!!
