This is his third season. David Carr is having his breakout year. Having couple good games against Shaq is no longer going to thrill anyone.

Yeah, it means no one on this board is willing to criticize Yao ... yet. I, too, would like to see Yao prove in his third year that he's gonna be the next Kareem Abdul Jabar and not the next Rick Smits.
3rd year is very important for any player adjusting to the rigors of professional sports. Rik Smits had a horrid 3rd year. Yao needs to at least match last year's stats at a minimum.
I was under the impression that Yao was always criticized by us, read the game threads when hes having a bad game. We just get tired of people who put up post after post b****ing and whining about any player. Its like some annoying heckling dick who just won't shut up even though everyone else is trying to concentrate on the game. We just get tired of people moaning and whining about our players, hell I b****ed about Scottie to my friends for a month or two, but that got old after a while too. On a side note, I haven't heard Yao make any kind of excuses, I do har him sya hes tired all the time, but thats not really an excuse when a man is sayinghe isnt well conditioned enough. An excuse would be "the refs dont cal fouls" or "the coach is holding me back"
