Brook hasn't been much of a factor at all lately. For the bench, we need someone who can run the offense, and barry can be that person while wafer play as the the other guard. Artest can then come off the bench as a small forward. As deep as the this team is now, I don't even see Brooks playing. I like to see the bench as: wafer/barry/artest/landry/hayes or mutombo.

Hmmm, I think they need to start Von until Tracy earns his minutes back......

Why mess with a good thing? Just bring Tracy and Ronald off the bench for a
    little while.........

brooks was one of our most consistent players to start the year. and i think he's struggling to adjust to teams gameplanning for him now.

von right now is doing well, but he's only been playing big minutes for 10-15 games. as teams become more aware of him, he might struggle too.

we gotta keep playing BOTH of these guys through their ups and downs. both are good players. we need them to remain confident in their abilities b/c we need our depth in the playoffs.

    brooks will eventually bounce back.

Horrible idea. Brooks is in a slump right now but he also kept us in a lot of games earlier this season. He will get out of it.

And Wafer is not a PG.

I am torn between who should and who shouldn't get the minutes when Tmac and Ron return
even though I have been disappointed with both of these guys performance to date. Tmac, because
of his lack of energy and Ron, because he gets reckless and tends to force the play a lot. I am
really hoping they are mentally and physically ready to play once they return.

Brooks seems to be in a slump but I still want to see him out there on the court.
Once he breaks through the slump his confidence should increase and I would
expect him to drive more causing problems for the defense.

I don't think that Wafer > Tmac, I just appreciate and enjoy the energy Wafer brings every time he
is out on the court. I feel Tmac should get the opportunity to prove he is back but if not, then coach
should put the guys on the court who give it 100% even if they are not as good as the guy on the bench half_arseing it!

i agree, and let von come of the bench with barry, i think barry can pass, so why not try him on the pg spot

If I were coach I would def ease T-Mac back in off the bench with the team playing well without him.... however I know RA won't do that. I think Wafer deserves to get the minutes over AB at the moment but the only way possible for that is T-Mac running the point and that will depend on how he is playing.

Agree. Tmac should be eased off the bench until he starts fitting in. Look at how Brand was treated when he came back-just 11 mins for his first game back. I'm not saying Tmac and Ron should be limited to just 11 mins as well, but they should come off the bench until they are able to fit in with the team's groove. As for Wafer replacing Ab0, well they don't play the same position so that's kinda' hard to do, unless you want Tmac to be a point forward :p

Wafer is a 1st class sub anyway, eventually you'd want him running alongside Artest in the 2nd unit.

No way I bring Wafer off of the bench in place of AB. I agree that AB has been dissapointing lately with his shooting slump but he has been moving the ball well and created some easy shots for other players with his strong moves to the basket. More than that, I just don't see Wafer as a point guard.

I think Wafer has played himself into the starting role on this team and until someone beats him out of it he should be the starter. I think that this is the perfect oppertunity to move TMac to the Small Forward position if he is healthy.

Rafer, Wafer, TMac, Scola and Yao. Do not send Wafer to the bench.

I think brooks is best on the floor when Yao is out there with him, because Yao creates double teams and defenses keep most of their focus on yao.

This is why Brooks and Wafer are so effective with him out there because they drive to the basket before the defense shifts to them. This is also why mcgrady sucks with the starters, because he doesn't attack the basket and hes not a good 3 pt shooter.

anyways, i think brooks , luther , mcgrady, rafer are mentally the weakest players. Thats why they are never consistent.

Brooks has been in a slump ever since Ron and T Mac have both been out.

Team focus their D on him more because his ability to knock down the 3, and his ability to drive.

Now that T Mac and Ron are back, they won't really be doing that ,and he will get out of his slump, just watch. I think we should eliminate the whole Rafer/Brooks backcourt on the court at the same time. I think the people who should really lose PT now that T Mac and Ron are back, are Yao (we won't have to rely on him so much, keep him rested up), Brooks (No more double backcourt PGs), Rafer (see brooks), Battier (Have him lock up on their number one guy for a while, but I'd lean more to have Ron on the court because he is a better scorer, and comes up with more rebounds, loose balls etc.), and Wafer. Have Wafer spell McGrady, I think at all times we should have one or the other on the court due to their ability to create on their own. Whenever our offense can't find anything, we can defer to these two guys.
