So please indulge me. Given that the Wizard is probably not going anywhere now, and given that Torres was signed, are we talking IR for Tmo?
Also, what in the hell happened to TedRuxpin?

I like TMO and if he can be aggressive all the time, b/c he certainly doesn't lack talent, he could eventually be our starting 3 in a couple of years. Man if Griffen were to grow to be about 6'11 or even 7'0, put him at PF and pray for a center to come along about the same height and we would have a huge athletic frontline that would lead the league in boards and blocked shots. My wish of all wishes at least as far as the Rockets are concerned.

TMo may only get limited minutes this year, but I hardly see him being IR the whole time. Isn't Torres a guard? And granted there's Walt and Langhi other than Glen Rice that he has to share minutes with, but with our lack of depth in the frontcourt, I wouldn't be surprised to see two players that we'd consider '3's playing the forward spots a goodly amount of the time. We'll just wait and see.

I'm a huge fan of Morris and have watched him play his 4 years at UMD. I am a big college basketball fan, but since my 2 favorite Maryland playrers have made a home in Houston, I've gotten more interested in the NBA, and especially the Rockets. I can't say I'm a fountain of knowledge about the Rockets so I may not be 100% on this.

But from what the consensus is, Glen Rice gives the rockets another scoring option, but is weak on the Defensive end. The wizard is the exact same way, he's a 3pt shooter and not a high rated defender. Langhi is the exact same, a shooter not so much a defensive player. Griffin and Morris are the 2 more defense oriented players that would play that spot. With Taylor out for the season, I'd assume Griffin will get more time at the 4. The spot he'll more likely play as he develops physically. While Morris could be the best defensive 3 that the rockets have.

I honestly don't think Morris can play the 2, or better yet he won't be able to without a lot of work and a couple years of development. He may be capable of doing so, but he's never developed that aspect of his game. At MD he played out of possition at the 4, where he would either spend his time around the 3 point line, or under the basket. He drove to the basket very infrequently. He's got the ability but it hasn't been developed yet, and an off season isn't enough time to get him ready to do so.

If Rudy T is able to get Morris more than garbage minutes durring the season, I think TMo should put up solid numbers and possibly move his way into the rotation. Provided he's able to keep up his defensive intensity, something he did well his senior year, and develop a fairly reliable 3pt touch.
