Ok don't get excited over this even though it ain't that exciting any way but what I mean is this may not be true. When I was playing Ball today with my friends and a dude I know sort of cause he plays occasionally said to me that he heard the Rockets are making a deal with the Clippers involving Cat. He said it didn't involve Darius Miles (DAMN!!!!!) but he said it involved Keyon Dooling. Now I find this very hard to believe that the Rocks would want to do this at all cause Rudy said signing Cat was priority #1 but he didn't say trading priority #2. Oh and this rumour came from a Jazz fan so this maybe total bull**** but it is very interesting but very stupid trade!

Dooling's a one. Why do we need another point guard? Especially one whose specialty was one-on-one shot creation.

Are you saying Cato or Cuttino, because Cuttino is either signing with us and staying or signing elsewhere for more money. He would have to be an idiot to sign with us for less money only to be delegated to LALA land. On the Rockets end, Kenyon Dooling wouldnt be a horrible pickup to replace Mobley, even thogh he is a unproven rookie PG, becuase from what I hear he is more of the scoring type.

Still, this is most likely BS

Miggidy -- I would say whoever told you that either believes that BS or is BSing you... keep in mind this quote from Mobley a week or so ago:

"No, it isn't," Mobley said. "If it was all about the money, I would have went to the Clippers. It's not about that, though. A lot of teams came at me, but I want to win. I want to make the right decision."

And a sign and trade would mean Mobley would have to sign a 2-yr $8 million deal I'm guessing? I don't think you can sign and trade for one-year deals (someone can correct me on that).

No sign and trades for Mobley I don't think. If Cat is going to take the lesser amount, it will be to stay here in Houston.

Clutch-A sign and trade would actually have to be for 3 years....this scenario is very doubtful.

I was planning to post that exact same quote before I read your post.

Who is this guy, anyway? Just a friend or someone who has actually come through before?

The guy was probably trying to get a crazy "NBA rumors" conversation by saying that.
I don't really buy it right now. Molbey wouldn't even get anything special by doing a sign and trade with us. We don't have the cap room.

Who knows, though? I have been surprised before.

MM said it came from a Jazz fan. Thats all I needed to know. Intelligence and Jazz dont belong in the same sentence.

Sorry it took me so long to reply but the rumour just came from a friend. He did tell me about Penny Hardaway being on the block Before he was dealt to Pheonix but I don't know how he finds this stuff out. He may have sorces I don't know but if this deal was to go down I would be pissed off badly. Is there anyway we can say we are gunna do a sign and trade, sign him then refuse to trade? [IMG] [IMG]

Once again, there will be NO sign and trade or fake sign and trades or sign and dance and trades or anything involving the words sign and trade in the same phrase with Mobley [IMG]
