I just got an email and the person quoted "Clerks". The quote is, "try not to have any brunch on your way to the closing dinner . . ." I haven't seen the movie, although I've heard I should check it out, and I would like to understand the meaning of the reference. Please help me o wise ones of the BBS.
Umm... the part of the movie that your quote reminds me is when Dante's girlfriend is leaving for class after their fight concerning the 39 guys she's given blow jobs. Dante shouts: "Try not to suck any **** on your way." Can't remember anything else that would fit.
Clerks is so classic it's not even funny...Probably in my all time top ten...That scene where Randle rattles off the titles to all those p*rn movies in front of that little kid is one of the best scenes ever "....Oh, and <i>Happy Scrappy Hero Pups...</i>"
Thanks for the insight o wise oracle. Actually, if that's the reference then I'm a little scared. 37? I don't think I've had 37 brunches in my life. Usually I just show up for the closing dinner .
Whoever hasn't seen "Clerks" should go out and rent it now! It's great. The short-lived animated series wasn't too bad either. I've only seen the two episodes ABC originally aired, but they were among the funniest things I've ever seen... Charles Barkley has cameos in them too.
... And after watching Clerks, be sure to rent the short-lived animated Clerks cartoon on DVD. It's a riot.
I thought Mallrats was good too. Everyone dogged it out, but it's low-brow humor at its best. "My mom always said if you can't do something right don't do it at all, but my dad also said she gave lousy head"
Ahh. Clerks. I love Clerks. Everybody go buy it Now!!! The seen youre refering to is when Dante says "Try not to suck any dick on the way to your car."
I thought it was "through the parking lot". The Clerks cartoon series was great. I love that DVD(s). I can't wait to see what they do for the Clerks cartoon movie that's coming out next year, apparently. I'm also looking forward to Jason Lee starring as a young Irwin Fletcher in Kevin Smith's version of "Fletch Won" that's supposed to come out in 2003.
Which one is the one where the guys say ... 1st guy: "My girlfriend broke up with me 'cause I farted." 2nd guy: "Dude, she broke up with you just because you farted?" 1st guy: "Well, she was going down on me at the time." I know it didn't go exactly like that but that's the basic idea of what was said.
