I ate the Whataburger 5-3-1 burger today and it was ****ing delicious. Whataburger Introduces New Whataburger 5-3-1
Well I've been known as quite a Whataburger critic on this fine message board. But I'll be damned if I didn't see God today in between two slices of Texas Toast.
Sweet Jesus, for anyone worried about health, don't look at the nutritional content. Honestly this thing is death on toast : Spoiler 5-3-1 Burger Calories : 1170 Calories from fat : 740 Total fat : 81g Saturated fat : 29g Cholesterol : 174mg Sodium : 2462mg Protein : 51g (yaaay...lol) 5-3-1 Burger (single) Calories : 920 Calories from fat : 560 Total fat : 62g Saturated fat : 21g Cholesterol : 110mg Sodium : 2214mg Protein : 34g So I'll try one just to say I did....... Whataburger generally sucks, but I'll give this a shot. Seems like the only thing unique about it is the pepper sauce? Everything else seems like you could order of the menu already.
I frikken love Whataburger. Well, at least the Whatachicken. I've never had anything else on the menu. This sandwich right here is gonna change that, though.
Sounds good, but A1 FTW. May that burger RIP. On second thought, I can't really say because I haven't had the 5 3 1 yet. Sounds like a good burger for the Texans game tomorrow.
Eh..ate it last night and thought it was ok. Didn't even know it was a new burger. It prob didn't taste good cuz I got it w/o cheese/pepper sauce.

I'm not a fan of Whataburger, but love onion rings on a hamburger. EZ's here in Austin has (or had... don't know if it's a "seasonal" thing) a Stubbs Barbeque Burger that has the natural beef pattie, jack cheese, Stubb's BBQ sauce, and onion rings. YUM!! I don't want to know how many calories the damn thing has, but I can tell you it is TASTY!
Whataburger has fantastic seasonal sandwiches. A1 Thick & Hearty: Amazing, I hope it goes the way of the McRib/Brett Favre. Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich: I must have eaten 3 a week during the summer. So freaking good. Chophouse: Decent, nothing to write home about. BBQ Cheddar Burger: Tasted very similar to but not quite as good as a Milos cheeseburger, which in my book is a pretty high complement. All in all I usually get excited when Whataburger comes out with their new seasonals. But oh man, 12 days of Whataburger! AWESOME!
I'm not a fan of the Texas toast, but I always make sure to get my buns toasted. It make a huge difference. FWIW, I'm actually flying out to LA next weekend just to get some In-N-Out. This is the longest I've gone without it (15 months).
