So, help me out, how do I unclog this sink? I put draino and stuff, and i keep pumping it and stuff. I don't know what the hell I am doing. Any help would be great.

dude, my roomate keeps cutting his hair in mine. I just deal with it by not dealing with it, and reminding myself that my living situation is only temporary.

All other wastewater outlets (tub/showerk drains, commodes etc) work fine?

Is so, then there is probably some blockage in the ptrap on the sink that is not flowing.

    Brute force, but try this...........

    1) Find a bucket or similar to catch water, draino and gunk that is in your ptrap. Maybe an old towel under the bucket for added protection. Position under the ptrap to catch the stuff that comes out.

    2) The drain pipe under your sink should be similar to the image below:

Take a Channel Lock, pipe wrench or similar and undo the fitting on the ptrap. It might be possible to undo by hand alone.....just depends. If possible, undo the other end of the ptrap so that you can remove it so that it can be completely cleaned. There might be some gunk in the pipe that the ptrap attaches to, so scrape that out also.

    3) Put it all back together, make sure everything is tightened properly and test it.

    Good luck.

i think when a sink gets clogged at home, my dad just puts draino (or it's generic walmart equivalent) down the sink and then lets it sit there forever and eventually it starts working and its all good. but since i'm just guessing that's what happens, just do what mango said.
