These guys(Bucks,Hornets,76ers,Raptors) are in the playoffs but the Rockets aren't? Damn stupid alignment. Houston would beat any one of these teams in a 7 game series. ------------------ Founder and President of the Houston Homers Club(HHC) - Are you a homer? Join now! The Rockets will be NBA champions. Believe.
I agree with half of your statement. The Rockets would beat the Hornets or the Raptors in a 7 game series. I don't know about the other two. ------------------
Well the Rockets blew away the Bucks by over 20 points a game both times they played them so they could beat them. And the 76ers lucked out in overtime to beat the Rockets, then got hammered on their homecourt in the rematch, so I think the Rockets could beat all of those teams. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
What I want to know is -- is anyone watching NBC and the NBA's "marquee matchup" today of Philly and Toronto? Is this some kind of joke? This wouldn't even be exciting if it were the battle for the 8th seed in the playoffs. What a joke! I hope the NBA ratings die, and David Stern gives up and hands the reins over to someone else. Only then will we have a chance at a quality product. With Stern out, at least we won't have to worry about the rules of the game of basketball being mangled any further. Hey Stern, have you ever thought about giving anyone with 3 or more tattooes 3 points for every basket, and everyone else 2? That may help your ratings -- you should look into it.
Actually, this probably is the marquee match-up. The majority of Americans live in the East. Philadelphia is the 5th largest city in America and the only remaing team from the Northeast. Add to that the fact that the Raptors are playing well, represent Canada and should pull in some of the NY crowd, having just beat them, and this seems like a smart move to me. On top of that, I like both the Raptors and the 76ers and since I have a final tomorrow, this is the only game I am watching today. Different strokes for different folks. ------------------ I hope, when they die, cartoon characters have to answer for their sins.
The majority of people may live in the East but trust me, this isn't a marquee matchup. This is just the NBA thinking "Hmmm, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, this is great!" The Hornets/Bucks game was far better, as was the Kings/Lakers game. And not even a crazy ending made that 76ers/Raptors game exciting. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
