I know he is good, but that doesnt mean one can talk trash to another person (Especially if one does NOT have a ship to back the trash up). I hate Kobe too, but i respect him and his game. For KG, I hate him and I will never respect him. and things like this further proves his classlessness: Question: 3 - 4 yrs ago, I saw KG trash talking and try to pull an AND1 move on one of our Rockets when we were getting blown out. Does anyone remember that?
Yes I do. He's probably the most overrated athlete in all of sports. One of the biggest losers/chokers/sob stories I have ever seen. The worst part? People glorify him like he's Michael Jordan or something.
Furthermore, when he wins his second MVP award this year keep in mind that Dream (maybe 5x the player) only won it once. Sorry, but that sickens me. At least when somebody else I hated like Karla won it twice he was actually deserving and nearly on the same level as Dream.
Hate KG as a person, but hating his game proves you don't know a damn thing about basketball..... btw, KG is second to Mutumbo in terms of involvement with the community and public service. He plays as hard as he can every night, something I wish I could say for T-Mac......
I like KG, I like the intensity and the heart he put every game, and previously I was sorry for him, because he was in a bad team, and he deserves to win a NBA championship. And yeah everybody talk trash, and maybe they say worst things but they dont say that in public. And I agree with Mark Madsen in the end of that article: Wolves forward Mark Madsen, who played with Garnett the longest of any current Minnesota player, said he didn't take offense to Garnett's celebration. He said Garnett is an emotional player who wears his emotions on his sleeve.
I dont hate his game (although i do think he takes too many jumpshot). did u read my post? i hate him because of his trash talking (or in KG homers' lingo, "his passionz")
Garnett is often praised for his heart and competitiveness. But while people want that from their athletes, they often forget that hyper-competitive people are often assholes in real life. -I still remember reading stories a few years ago about KG being outhustled and outplayed by one of the Timberwolves' young draft picks during a practice. Rickert never really made it in the league (playing just 3 games for the Pistons last season). He probably sucked that badly, but I wouldn't be surprised if the T'Wolves didn't help him break in. How many teams would choose an unproven rookie if your franchise player hated him? Even if your franchise player is a jerk... -That stupid habit of swatting opposing team's shots which aren't attempted during actual game time. -Remember when KG touched Francisco Elson's nuts? It wasn't a low blow, and it wasn't even during a real physical fight. KG just touched Elson's balls, to freak him out and piss him off. Elson got pissed and publically called KG gay, something which got him in trouble and forced him to make an apology. Not to excuse homophobia, but KG was pretty out of line there. And from what I can remember, all of the media backlash was against Elson, with nobody criticizing KG. I don't know the guy, and don't want to smear him. But he's done a bunch of things over the years that make me think that he's probably an ass. I'm sure a lot of NBA players are just like him. Makes me feel grateful that Yao is not only skilled and competitive, but seemingly good-natured as well.
For those who don't want to click the link, I forgot to mention that KG got pissed off and punched Rickert in the face. Damn lack of edit...
Yeh, I heard Michael Jordan was an ******* in real life also. Like KG, he punched out one of his teammates, Steve Kerr, and gave him a shiner.
KG is one of my favorite players in the NBA. Single-handedly he is the reason I actually like the Celtics this season. I admit his celebration after the T-Wolves game was just silly. That was one incredible last 30 second choke-job by Minny. I agree with swatting away shots that aren't attempted during game time. No reason to give the opposing team a practice shot.
lol funny all this hate is directed towards kg but i bet that if he was in rockets red it would be all love....kids
It's funny how he acts all aggressive and such but he was always a finesse player and someone who shied from taking the big shots.
KG has long headed my fav (non-Rock; non-ex-Rock [ie Sammy]) NBA player. Hating KG is a head-scratcher to me. Sheed, sure. Don't like AI? OK. But, BTW, Boston has two guys I really appreciate in Garnett and Ray Allen.
