I just bought a pair of Power Wheels "Eliminator" electric dune buggies, for my son and Tara's 5 year old's big xmas gift. I paid $180.00 each on ebay. I couldn't find them anywhere else, and the prices as listed were $250.00. They came in last week, and I was sooo fired up! I thought I was pretty slick, saving money through ebay and all. Then, not more than 30 minutes ago, I go down to HEB to pick up some snacks for Tara's son's class, and I see about 10 boxes of Eliminators priced at $99.00 each! I was so angry at first. It took awhile, but then I came to my senses and realized I was crying over spilled milk. I have the boys big X-mas gifts and that's what matters. Hmmmm...maybe I'll buy up the store stock and sell them on Ebay for $150.00... If I had initially bought them from another store at a considerably higher price, I probably would have returned them and bought them from HEB. Oh well... Has something like this ever happened to anyone here?
wow, you're kids are lucky. THis has happened many times, but I dont not care to talk about them because they are just too damn embarassing.
Usually, I'm a more careful shopper. I did my homework, and nobody was carrying this item anymore...no toys r us, no wally world, no kmart...I had to get them, so I bid...and won...If the price on such cool cars has dropped, I wonder what they have as new models...
