....and I remember at the time, my Dr telling me I would probably have to have another when I am around 40. Well I'll be 40 in September and I go under the knife for back surgery #2 next Thursday. Wish me luck!
don't do the surgery! i know a guy, witch doctor, in North texas that works miracles! best of luck and recover quickly =)
I'd love to chat with you about this. I've been avoiding surgery for years for my degenerative discs, but I'm on the verge of finally having to do it. I have to get a double fusion, of L3-4 and L4-5. I actually think I found my surgeon through a post you had made years ago. He used to work in the same office as the doctor you were seeing back then. Dr. Kenneth Lee.
The tech improvement for disc surgery is amazing -- my grandmother basically had outpatient surgery on a disc in her lower back recently. The doctor called it a 'clean up' -- 20-30 years ago she would have been in the hospital for a week. Best of luck Codell!
G'luck, codell! Hope it goes well and you are pain free for a long time to come. Back problems sure do hinder the day-to-day quality of life.
I'm glad I don't have back issues. I think it is the only sort of pain that sitting down or laying down doesn't remedy.
