Serves me right for being a nice guy (stupid). I Western Unioned Brian Chad Smith in Chico $320 payment for some cylinder heads he was selling and he has cashed out the Western Union and has not contacted me about the heads for over a week.

Does anyone herre live in Chico CA, so maybe you can get me some info on this guy? If I can, I want to place a big ad in the Chico newspaper, maybe contact their local news source and radio stations. I have already contacted the Internet Fraud site, and I have reported it to their police via an online police report. I haven't received a response from either of them.

Does anyone have any ideas on whaty I can do to get either my parts, or my money back?

    BTW, here's his personal info.

i'm gonna sound like a lawyer...but really be careful posting a guy's personal information and disparaging information about him at the same time on the internet.

Go to www.troubleshooter.com . Tom Martino is a consumer advocate with his own radio show. His show is nationally syndicated. He is pretty good about getting results, or at the very least, responses and explanations.

Good call. Tom may even call the guy on the air. I love it when he does that.

Also, according to the show, they have people answering phones around the clock, not just when the show is on.

    Thanks.

I've filed reports with the Brownsville PD, Chico PD, IFCCFBI, Internet fraud watch, and now with "troubleshooter".

Better bring in the FBI on this one...don't want to take any chances...I'm pretty sure he violated some international trading laws, too. :)

if you both live in chico, why haven't you gone and talked to him face to face? maybe there was an understandable mixup.

I've tried contacting him in every way shape and form. I really don't think that there is any mixup. I will let the authorites clear this one up. Besides, there are fellow "stangers" in Chico that are keeping an eye and ear out for me.

My Dad had a '67. I had an '84 5.0 HO and own a 92 GT...got her brand new from Galleria Ford. I drove her all the way down to Brownsville between 30 and 45 MPH.

    Back on topic...

I got ripped off once from an online purchase, but everything worked out for me because it was afrom a major website (Half.com, a division of Ebay). I filled the complaint and such online and with in a month they wrote me back, looked over it all. Then Electronically credited my account.
