I feel the rockets organization is cheating fans. They don't play tmac so that they can save money. But, as fans, we pay to see rockets game (go to arena or by league pass), and we want to see entire team; especially star players. Yao cannot play this season. We have accepted this fact. But, why don't let us to watch tmac play?! This is just like that I paid for $100, but only got $50 product back. I know the team is doing good right now, and I am very pround of them. But, after all, we are not one of the top teams. We could be better! They should give Tmac a chance to see wheher he can make this team better. If not, then they should trade him for another star player as soon as possible.
You Tmac people are morons. Sorry to be blunt, but your post in worthless conjecture. I feel Tmac playing would be cheating me, because I love to watch a team that plays like a team and cares. Tmac is done here.
Why is this so hard to understand... You don't just throw him back out there, for the good of the team and the good of the player. Today was the team's first practice in almost 2 weeks. Today was the first chance for him AND the team to practice. A few more practices and we'll re-evaluate.
I'm going to wait 3 weeks. If the Rockets are giving us the same line at that point, then I'll agree with you. For now, I'll try to give them the benefit of the doubt and accept that McGrady just isn't ready yet.
I actually think based on all the statements and evidence that this isn't about money. Simply put - T-mac isn't ready. He thinks he is. Medically he is. But there's a big difference between medically ready to play basketball and ready to play basketball at the level the Rockets need T-mac at. T-mac's game depends on explosiveness. If T-mac game was like Shane Battier, then maybe he could be back. But it's not. He needs explosiveness. And in the history of Microfracture, that's a lot longer than he has gone. T-mac's not ready, and the organization isn't going to repeat this drama from last year. For that, I think I have to agree. T-mac has to prove he is at full strength, and I honestly think Adelman will let him play if he was. It's not in Adelman's or Morey's MO to punish guys for past trangressions. That's why I can't believe it's Adelman trying to iso t-mac in anyway or reason - legit or not. And I think Adelman would give T-mac a chance to fit into his offense. That's Adelman's sytle - to give guys chances. So really, there's not a whole lot of drama here. T-mac seems to be unhappy about not playing, but I think deep down inside he knows that it's not malicious but actual concern about his knee, and on some level, he knows he is not back. difference is, T-mac thinks the best course is for him to play his way back, and Adelman's best course is for T-mac to get back in practice and off the court and then contribute I will side with Adelman on this one.
I agree with you to a point, but to me it's more of a distraction letting this thing linger on. Just put him out there and let's find out who's telling the truth. If it's McGrady then I will lose a lot of respect for the organization. My guess is that Grady won't be ready and it will show on the court and three to five games in he will have another injury and be out again. Either way the drama is over.
Fans pay to see what the team has to offer, if the team doesn't choose to offer all that is has, then it is what it is. The fans are not obliged to go to games and see all the players they want to see play.
I completely agree with this statement. Put the man out on the court and let's see what happens. Tired of this crap. If he is ready to play, awesome, we just added a superstar. If he is not, then this crap will be over with and we can get back to business. Stop trying to screw the fans!
I fully support Morey and this years team which are playin with heart..payback time right now. Tmac messed the Rox last year...it's on him!
Where did you hear about the 3 weeks? Trying to keep up with what has been going on in the GARM has been hell.
I hope you feel humbled after you see the rating this thread is receiving. Start less threads Mr. 1 Star.
3 weeks wasn't mentioned, but it seems like a reasonable time frame within which McGrady would get back on the court.
