They most likely will make the Quater Finals now with a strong performance against Austrailia ...... Austrailia ...... Austrailia ::::??? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH now that i think about it hahahahahah, well im sorry let me go on with my post ....... Its getting to the point of no return, USA will make the quaterfinals and if they keep playing like this which i beleive they will, then i feel real bad for whats going to happen in the quaters, or semis. If they make it into quaters in fourth place then that means SPAIN vs USA and my people in ClutchFan Land im sorry but its going to be a complete ridiculous and dissasterous quaterfinal finish ...... I hope not but its going to happen.. What do you all think ??
Even though they're playing helter skelter basketball, I wouldn't count out the USA versus anyone. And I don't think Gasol will be dunking on anyone if the US plays Spain.
Have you watched any of Spains games ??? They are the most complete squad in the Tournament straight up and down there team tehy have 1 NBA player and the rest starters in big teams in Europe and they play together all the time !! There awesome i hope itll be tight but man i really doubt it....
I have what is called pride in my country like how you're showing yours. Sure Team USA is one loss from imploding but I'll still support them...sans RJ. If that makes me look foolish and blinded, well next time you see me help me across the street and tell me what 1+1 is.
Here is who you should feel bad for: Germany - Dirk is OK, and Bradley would dominate France - Parker is above average, but Rigadeau is AMAZING Turkey - Okur's weight is getting closer to Shaq on a daily basis, so he will rule the paint like Shaq too Brazil - Nene, Varejao, Barbosa and Araujo can do some damage Russia - AK47 is a ok, plus their heart and soul -- Podkolzine, they are scary England - they have super AMEICHI and most importantly, Slovenia - there is a dude called Bostjan Nachbar who is said to be the next Peja.
My pick for Gold is Spain but then again it is really quite wide open. And as for Pau throwing it down on someone, if he can give Yao a facial, I'm sure he'll be able to saddle up Duncan who doesn't really get off the ground too well. Or if you mean in the sense that the US will commit a hard foul.
Duncan isn't a jumper, but his timing is better than Yao, and that's what's making him a better shot-blocker. It's not about how high you can jump, it's about when to jump and where you put your hand.
I have a feeling they would play better and better after getting familiar with each other and international rules. Much like the Italian Soccer Team.
China is facing a very similar situation. Accoring to my observation, their domestic league's rule has to be different, they are not used to the international rules, and that's the only reason that can explain the way they are playing right now. here is the conclusion I drew. In their league, defense is illegal, and body contact automatically warrents an ejection. When you shoot the ball, you get three points for shooting an airball, two points for hitting the rim but not going in, and -15 points for making a shot. It's legal to get rebounds, but if you do that, a point will be knocked off each time. Illegal offense: passing the ball to your center who just got into position downlow. You get 15 minutes for inbounding the ball, and 20 minutes to pass the halfcourt. If you inbound too fast, a foul is called. The player who turns the ball over the most in a season gets the MVP award. I might be wrong, but I doubt it.
And the fact that Yao has little to no vertical on top of his slow reaction time does not even factor in anywhere
