I think Dream sees opertunity. Thats why he wants to go to Miami. Dream steps in at center and Brian Grant moves over to PF where he should be. Mix Anthony Mason with those two and you have the best front court in the east.

    Tim Hardaway
    Eddie Jones
    Anthony Mason
    Brian Grant
    Hakeem

Suddenly Miami would look like a real threat in the east. Maybe even the favorite.

    Damn the East is weak!

Then why not wait until the end of the season where he can resign with the Rockets and do a sign an trade deal. Come on, its only a couple of month to go. And he would only be 38. He said he would like to play 2 more season so that would work out perfectly.

That would really help the Rockets in getting at least draft picks and some good role players. And Hakeem gets what he wants, to play on a contender!!!

I think Houston has to make a tough decision , Trade Hakeem and maybe get some Big Men up Front in return , Or Waive him and tell him to do whatever he wants .

Olajuwon wants to play on a contender this year, keeping him until the end of the season would be pointless. This is why he is looking to be waived so quickly, in time to fit in with the new system and be ready for the play-offs.
