I dream one day that Yao gets labeled as a ballhog!

But he had 7 assists. He can take that many shots and average at least 5 assists a game. That's my dream. Plus, he can't let up on the boards. This was huge. It shouldn't have been (since it was the Hawks), but it was.

 

It's soooo trendy right now to bash Yao for things that the more intellectually challenged do constantly as a matter of fairness. I understand that people bash Francis way more than any of our players but Yao is so much more efficient than anyone on our team. No contest. He deserves every bit of praise and as a second year player, in my book, he's still ok to make mistakes.

True Francis hit the clutch shot at the end but if he hadn't played like crap for the rest fo his shots, he wouldn't have to pull a three out of his ass. Makes for good entertainment though.

 

I think that the perfect formula would be this:
Steve - 16 PPG on 10 shots per game (40% field goal) 8 assists 6 boards
Cuttino - 15 PPG on 10 shots per game 4 assists 4 rebounds
JJ - 12 PPG on 8 shots per game 4 assists 6 rebounds
Cato - 8 PPG on 5 shots per game 2 assists 9 rebounds
Yao - 20 PPG on 15 shots per game 2 assists 11 rebounds

Those are completely unrealistic expectations for backcourt efficiency.
SF and Cat average those PPG now taking way more shots than that.
Yao is the only one that can approach the efficiency you're talking about with that # of shots.

 

Well, Hakeem used to score 30 and the Rockets would lose. Steve has had games of 30 in a Rockets loss...I guess it's Yao's time...
