I don't want to hear any complaints about fouls tonight

We got all the breaks we could ask for in Game 6, when everybody not named Avery Johnson wanted the series extended. Now we play Game 7 on the other team's home court, with an arena full of screaming Mavs fans. We will not get jack from the referees tonight. Do not expect it, do not bemoan it, do not get caught up in it. Keep your head up and play through it. We will have to overcome whatever bad calls we get and outplay the other eight guys anyway. That's just the way it is when you're the road team in Game 7. There's a saying among some black people that you have to be twice as good as the white applicants to get the job. It shouldn't be that way, but sometimes it is. Be that good, and we'll move on.

Regardless of bad calls or not in game 3 or 4 we should have won each game...even game 5 we should have won...the officials calls were bad in those games but in each game we should have been up and weren't due to our own bad play...lets leave all that behind us and just beat them outright...

I'll be happy as long as ANYONE but Dick Bavetta is calling the game. That's all I ask.

I'd also like to add Joe Crawford to that list

Hold on right there. Exactly what breaks did we get? I only saw one call that could be considered a break and there was a quick makeup call immediately afterwards. Game 6 was the fairest officiated game so far in the series. You can be sure that if the officials start getting Dirk-flop happy, you will be hearing about it. Still, I do agree that the Mavs house will be rockin and our guys need to impose their own will.

A break was when Bibby got called a foul on Kobe.

Maybe the Mavs will be demoralized like the Queens in Game 7.

I think it's going to come down to free throws.

If we make our free throws, we will win.

I too want to know what these so called breaks are. If the slight advantage in the calls that the Rockets got in game 6 is reciprocated in game 7 for Dallas, I dont think there will be any complaining.

The only really bad call I saw on Dallas was the 6th on Howard. But it didnt come when Dallas was making a run, it didnt happen to their primary or secondary offensive weapon, and as shown throughout the series, Howard's defense on McGrady hasn't been noticeable.

So the bad call, other than fouling out Howard, had no other ill effects.

I think Howard's hard foul on Yao was actually his own undoing... after he got away with that (and then the tripping foul on Bowen), he was the target of the refs the rest of the game.

And refs still missed a few calls on us. Dampier fouling tracy to the rack? Numbnuts fouling tracy on the 3 from the wing? We won so that's all that matters. Let's just put the game away so refs can't steal it from us.

Exactly right...we shouldn't be in a position to let a ref make a call against us or for us...we should put it away and take it from them.

Right, with the refs on our side (or even nuetral) we win 2 of the 3 lost games. But even in those, 4 missed FTs by Yao or a 20-0 run clearly showed our own faults. So lets stop b****ing and play. I'm pumped!!!

we're the better team. we need to play like it. and if we do the few blown calls that are inherently part of the game wont hurt us.

I'm with you Pimp, seemed like an evenly officiated game to me.

The Mavs need favorable calls that can change the momentum to help them win and win don't.

According to Yahoo, it's Bob Delaney, Dan Crawford, and Greg Willard.

Will, you are wasting your keyboard strokes.

Rocketfans LIVE for the conspiracy theories, "the refs against theories" and the "we don't get any calls" theories. As if we are the only team in the history of the world to get calls unfavorably.

Yet, through all of that, we seem to win championships. I guess those two we won (especially the one we got when Mr. Geteverycallknowntoman came back from retirement)has David Stern out for revenge.

Its been going on since the BBS started. Maybe even before then. Its like a religion. Its all silly. So, like the people who believe there are aliens hiding in their closets, we must all just look past these type of fans and try to tolerate the whining and b****ing and moaning that will follow for many months if we were to lose. Anything short of a championship is seen as a win for Evil Stern.
