I'll admit I'm not the bravest guy in the world when it comes to roller coasters, I'll get on anything for the money, but some rides aren't my cup of tea. This past weekend I went to Fiesta Texas in San Antonio with the fam. and I got on something called the "frisbee". I have never, ever felt like I was going to die before on a ride, but on this one, I did. Maybe I didn't know exactly what I was in for but I was seeing blurry white lights and an overwhelming sensation to lose the overpaid grub I just ate. It felt like a near death experience or something. I was so nauseated and terrifically uncomfortable. The funny thing was I just rode "Batman" and it seemed bad, but didn't affect me that much. My wife said she would go on "frisbee" after me, but seeing my reaction she decided against it [IMG] ( For those interested, it's a ride that is disc shaped that swings back and forth in 90 degree angles while spinning in circles faster than anything. )
I would like to hear about other freak rides you have experienced.

I will always remember the ultra-twister in Astroworld.

Gravitron, its like a big flying saucer. You go inside and lean against the wall and it spins around really fast. You are then pressed against the wall and can turn upside down or whatever and are still pinned to the wall. That things only purpose is to make you hurl, mission acomplished.

Oh god, my most hated of all roller coasters I have ever been in... could they have put less padding inside that eggshell? When the thing comes to a screeching, halting stop, I always bang the hell out of my knees on the hard metal in front of me. Not to mention the poor restraints that allow you to jostle around and bang your head and shoulders on various hard surfaces. The last time I rode it, I couldn't walk afterwards my knees were so bad... I had to sit down for about 5 minutes and let the feeling come back to them.

    Never again.

You big babies!!! The T Cyclone is worse than that! God I hate that ride! Sometimes I feel like its going to break my neck.

Now the Taz is a fun one, but that freaking restraint just keeps getting tighter and tighter throughout the ride.

Scary part is that the Cyclone is 100 times calmer than it is now. When it first came out, there were no head/neck pads, it was an open car. Never ridden anyother seat than the right hand one of the last car. That was so I could keep the other person from flying out the hole in the sides. Not to mention that they slowed it down just a tad. I believe when it opened it was the biggest and fastest in the world. I personally think that it is still the nastiest...however, I've heard alot about this serpent thingy in SA. I'm sure there are others as well...but the boyhood thrills will always keep my heart with the Cyclone.
