Whether or not the recent injuries and suspension (MoTay), may be a blessing in disguise in getting Yao Ming and Nachbar some playing time early in the season for preparation? And on a side note how many feel that Tito Maddox is very much less than adaquate? I know that he can pass, but when the league begins to see his poor shooting skills they won't let him pass as easily and it will crowd our offense hence forth negating the, "motion offense", when he is in the game. Thoughts anyone?

I'm not comparing him to Kidd or Miller, but those two can't shoot worth a lick either. I think as long as Tito has a good enough shot to keep defenders honest he will be alright. Now, beating the trap and turnovers are different issues.

Hopefully Tito can be our X factor. Every great team needs one. A guy who can defend multiple positions, and spread the ball around. You mentioned his passing, and bad shooting. We don't need him to shoot with all the scorers we have. Have him keep the motion offense moving by moving the ball around and playing defense on the other end. Rudy obviously sees something in this guy, especially giving up Oscar and Tierre. Let's hope it pays off.

Who would have thought Tmo could have improved so much in one off-season. Rudy has the midas touch,..who knows. In the summer league games I saw..there were loads of good point guards, all showed more than Tito..most didnt make a team. Hes a project!!!

The kid played not at all last year...give him time since he is not likely to get playing time. So, upside is on his side.

If this is our biggest worry, where will the PARADE start and at exactly what time of day?!!

I'm not knocking Maddox, but ideally he doesn't get PT all year. He may be better defensively at the point, but I want Steve or Mooch in period. Hawkins will likely get the defensive minutes at the 2. The guy is rusty and inexperienced, but if he's an x-factor this year that means we've been decimated by injuries again.

By no means was I saying he would be an X-factor this year.
I am saying he could be that kind of a player in the future.

Besides, if anyone could be an X-factor, it might work better with Hawkins.
