I also don't want to start the season with him at the small forward.I know the likleyhood of bringing in another small forward is slim but I hope it happens.Walt has had numerous chances with numerous teams to prove he is worthy of being a starting small forward in the NBA and I don't think he has.Granted he was too good a player to be buried on Portland's bench but he's not the answer for us in post dream ball. His handles are decent but I know 300LB playground ballers with more quicks and are just as STREAKY as the WIZ.Now with the personal we have most players are either untouchable or about as close to it as possible or they simply have little or no real value;that being said we'll probably have to wait awhile for a viable starter.I cannot however fault the Rockets front office, they had every intention of drafting another guy to come in and compete with Wiz for the spot but it didn't work out.All I can hope for is some trade to materialize out of nothing and that probably won't happen. On the bright side I've heard the strongest areas in next years draft is small forward and center the bad part is next year I could be saying the same thing about Cato.
Sorry for writing so much I just got on a roll [IMG]

Walt is cool as a starter this year.

Hopefully Damn Lanky will give him a run for his money later in the season.

And drafting a sf will be a priority next year. There better be a good one left at the last selection in the first round!

That would truly be sweet if we were drafting last with no trade [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

All these Wizard bashers........ge ge ge, they will never learn. I thought the best thing to do would be to get a center next draft. Higher value in the league with few quality centers out there. Plus with Dream retiring we will need another one.

Plenty of centers and SF's to go around next year. Personally I like Troy Murphy: excellent rebounder, defender, and pure scorer. You've also got Maryland grad Terrance Morris coming out next year. It's win-win next year. No need to panic and worry about Walt just yet. He's just a temporary filler and doesn't fit into our long term plans.

Walt is the best MISTAKE we have at SF. He will start, and he should play well. I am not worried about the SF position. Wizard is a capable player. We have a worse liability at the C position if Hakeem is not ready to go this year.
