I predict a Rockets victory tonight. ------------------ "You know what they say about the music business. Here today, gone TODAY! - Chris Rock at the MTV Music Video Awards
I was really happy looking at the standings when I woke up this morning (too bad that Phoenix managed to get the win last night). The Rockets' playoff chances would go a long way if they were able to beat the Wolves tonight. The Wolves are Reeling, Houston is Rockin. Its time for the Rockets to put some ghosts to bed tonight.
If you look at the standings, the Rockets have ab equally good chance to catch the Wolves as they do suns. We are just four back of the Suns and Wolves and a win tonight would be huge. I predict a close game all the way, but Francis hits some big threes at the end to pull away. Rocks-101 T-Wolves-91 ------------------ "GiddyUP!!!" Krammer from Seinfeld
It seems we usually have problems with the Wolves. Plus I'm sure they'd like nothing better than to break their current losing streak in front of the home crowd... But I just can't throw a wrench into this machine of positive energy!!! Rockets - 97 Wolves - 93 ------------------ "Weathermen are simply con-artists with radar equipment. I honestly believe that the locker room billboard helped everyone focus. Let's hope that the Rockets coaches were smart enough to bring it along. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Achebe (edited February 21, 2001).]
Too many early turnovers by the Rocks will set them back, and they will go on a furious surge to end the game but it will be too little too late. Wolves 98 Rocks 91 And tonight's winning lotto numbers are 6-12-33-13-29-37. ------------------ Don't look at the feet
We have matchup problems with the Twolves, but I think we'll give them a good run this game.My heart says YES,a win...and this is a game we need,to make up for the loss to the Magic.I'll say a wire job and cross my fingers...take the five ------------------ the fan formerly known as.... Duhhh, the Rockets are currently tied with Seattle for 9th and with a win tonight coupled with a Seattle loss to Denver puts them solely in 9th and 3 games behind Minnesota. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder

I don't think the Rockets will win. Sure, their on a nice stetch, but there are so many matchup problems. Maurice Taylor has to go up against KG the AllStar. Well, I don't know. Mo kicked Walker's ass. And Steve and Cuttino will definitely show up. Hakeem agaist Nesterovic? Please. Well, as I am writing this I have changed my mind. Rockets 103 Puppies 94 ------------------ The best is yet to come. Go Rockets!
KG can't play both Mo Taylor AND Hakeem....Nesterovic is a non-factor.... Basically, KG vs Hakeem/Mo we'll do fine.... But brandon vs. Francis? I'm not too sure... Scerbiack vs. Shandon? could go either way.. Cuttino has this one won, no matter who he's up against... our bench is better, I think Kenny and Norris will bust out.... hmmmmmm.....I dunno, it's hard to see us winning....The chances are slim...We're away....Minnesota should be winning right about now.....and it's about time we lose one again..... KG is coming off a bad shooting game and should break out...... I think/hope: Rocks 90 T-wolves 87 in OVERTIME Kenny 12reb, 6 points (20min) Norris 11 points, 4 asts (18min) Francis will have 14pts, 9assts, 5TO, 6reb Mobley 32pts, 4reb, 3asts, 3stls hakeem with 18pts, 7brds Mo with 12pts, 5reb Cato will play a good game.....It's just a feeling... ------------------
The T-Wolves have been in a little bit of trouble defensively over the last 4 games, they'll fix that trend tonight, so we're going to need to bring out the stops to win this one! If Dream is big and Mo rebounds it's all ours! Rockets 91 T-Wolves 86 ------------------
The rockets are a different team now. Now, we can see how they REALLY matchup with the Wolves. Let's look at the facts. The first game against them was the first game of the season, and they hadn't gelled as a team and you could tell they were nervous. It was so bad, being Halloween and all, that a guy near me dressed up as the pope gave the finger to the refs.Funny stuff. In the second game, january 1, Hakeem wasn't with the team and Kenny was our center. Thats is the real reason the rockets haven't matched up well with them, because they haven't had the real rockets team out there. I think Francis will have a BIG game tonight, and not let Brandon get those easy jumpers he's deadly at off the screen. ------------------
Since January 1st, the Rockets have gotten much better at defending those screens that always used to result in easy open jumpers that Brandon loves. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."

Yeah, go figure!!! My first ever single-game prediction and I was right. I really did have a feeling about tonight, though. The Rockets are really on a roll. ------------------ "You know what they say about the music business. Here today, gone TODAY! - Chris Rock at the MTV Music Video Awards
