Hello Houston Fans, I want to start of by saying I'm not a troll, I'm a hardcore NBA fan and my favorite teams are the Lakers and Warriors. Houston quickly became one of my favorite teams with the up temp attack. I came onto this board to see what the true fans views are of their players as I plan on drafting Lin and Asik again for my fantasy team. I must admit I'm quite appalled reading some of the threads here. First off, I cannot believe there are so many Jeremy Lin haters on this board. I watched around 40 Houston games last year (I drafted Chandler, Asik and Lin) and as the season progressed, Lin was getting better. It takes time to settle into a new city, there are lots of outside factors, he had to adapt his game to his teammates (namely Harden) as he was the primary ball handler (hog). Lin's defence was not as bad as you think. Where did he rank amongst steals last year? He's only getting better and showed glimpses of it. Secondly, Asik. If you guys think that Howard was a dominant defender you will soon realize that he's a big body that doesn't use it as well as he could be. If he's put into the right system, he will excel. However you will see that he quite often leaves his man for the big block and susceptible to the dunk under pass. Or he will be slow on rotations, which is huge for pick and rolls...Asik is a dominant defender. I've watched him enough in Chicago and last year in Houston to say this. Yes, his offence is to be desired but I feel he's made strides here in Houston. Stretch 4's will obviously be his achilles heel. Anyways, I'm not sure if Houston fans realize, but you guys have 2 awesome pieces to a championship team here, great complimentary players to Howard and Harden. Shouldn't you guys be cheering for your players? I can't believe the hate for him. Amazing. Young kid with tons of upside settling into a new role and city.
