I love trade rumors. And heck as yeah, I love reading Rocket!!'s posts. I'm intrigued by what he knows, "the northern connection". I'm curious. But, it would have to be something that totaly blows the Rockets away, like Kevin Garnett and Szerbiack for the #1 pick and Taylor. If not, I want my Ming!!!

But I have gotten to think the big picture. I want to dream big. I think it was Jeff who said "dare to be great". If it was someone else, sorry for not giving you credit.

For once, I would be disappointed if Yao isn't a Rocket next season. Because contrary to what a lot of posters here say, the Rockets need a center more than they need a SF. Every year SF fall to the middle of the first round.

How many all-star centers have been selected in the middle or late part of the first round. I can't think of any. I'm sure there might be some, just can't think of any. Either way I bet it's more SF than centers.

    My projected lineup:
    C---Ming, Cato, Collier
    PF--Taylor, Thomas
    SF--Griffin, Rice, Morris
    SG--Mobley, Torres, (#15 pick)
    PG--Francis, Norris

That team has 3 players who could and should have gone #1 Francis(2), Ming(1), and Griffin(7).

    zacatecas,

Glory be, you are a palindrome, (or at least a phonetic palindrome.)

This makes me pause and wonder whether posts that lead to trade rumors and trade rumors that lead to posts are all the same dramatic, palindromic concoction of the Devil.

    dreamcasting is the Devil

the Devil likes flash, and that's why ROCKET!!! is ALL CAPS with 3 exclamation points.

    I have to agree, Z. I was a huge Yao-basher, but now...

What the heck...welcome aboard, big guy!

I hope Steve and Cat see the light, too.

Heypartner, always like to read your posts. Though this last one is pretty deep.

But, all I wanted to make was a statement. If this post leads to trade rumors, have Clutch shut it down.

    What is palindromic?

    zacatecas,

Your name is essentially pronounced the same forwards and backwards. That's a palindrome, and it is the sign of the devil.

    Dreamcasting is too.

ROCKET!!! is the devil. He posts-to-lead-trade-rumors so that rumors-trade-leads-to-posts of His...his work is the same backwards and forwards. The sign of the devil.

He feeds us dreams that split us into two camps that involve sacrificing our purest Rockets starters...Kenny Thomas...as well as desecrating the prophecy of the coming a new charismatic leader, Yao.

I agree with you that Mobley is a ball hogg. However, Francis does like to pass the ball. The only problem is that the only other guy with the ability last year to light it up was Mobley, "Mr. Dribbles".

I think that with Mo back, Griffin older, and Ming's shooting touch; Mobley will have to compete for shots. It's not going to be Mobley's show any more. This will be Steve running the show for Griffin, Ming, Taylor, and Mobley.

Hey, Heypartner, I did look it up and found out what palindromic was. Who said you don't learn anything new on the Clutchcity BBS?

But if you may not know, Zacatecas is a beautiful state in central Mexico. And, with as many cathedrals it has, there is nothing evil about it.

Highly recommend that you go there when you have a chance, it's only a 15 hr bus ride, or a 1 1/2 hour flight. But it has some of the best architecture in Mexico.

    HP,
    Oh thanks!:(

    Quite an unsolicited slam there?

I have never, repeat never, "desecrated" the prophecy of Yoa.

Oh, and as a man who believes his lot in life is to bring down the wicked whenever comfronted by such, I truely take exception to being called the D@mn Devil! Thank you very much, but I am a man of resolute faith in the Lord God.

    HP,
I sure hope you were joking, because, if not, I AM offended.

oh, ROCKET!!! There was a great inspiration once 2 yrs ago where I called Speculation is the Devil. Anyhoot, I called popeye the devil, and that didn't work out so well, although popeye was an excellent sport about it.

take no offense. Wish I had the search function to show you.

I have to admit that I want Ming now, too. He seems like the perfect fit for the Rockets, and it seems like the downsides are dissappearing more and more. Unless one of those trades that ROCKET!!! spoke of comes about, something on the order of ... Brand/Battier/Swift/Odom or Maggette, while getting rid of Rice/Taylor/Thomas/TMo/Collier, and still getting #4 to take Dunleavy, Butler or Wagner.

Hey, ROCKET!!!, anything more on those trade possibilities, or are you hearing the Rockets are now getting locked into Ming ... or are we just making sure we've got everything locked up, in order to have good negotiating power on a monster trade for the #1?

I'm not sure when its appropriate to say anything... I sure don't want to jeapardize what Goldberg is doing in China ... but if you want to, just shoot me an email, I'm dying to know if you know anything more...
