Trade Luis Scola he is a value of a player all these amare trade ideas I wouldn't do, he is the only rocket I want to keep. It's gonna be hard to let go of Battier but it has to be done. Now I see it seems everyone wants to trade with Portland which don't get me wrong I love Rudy Fernandez but I don't think that's what we need. I tried this trade in the simulator and it worked trade with Indiana Rockets get: Troy Murphy Roy Hibbert Pacers get: Shane Battier Brain Cook Chuck Hayes Brent Barry Indiana would do it to provide cap space they are struggling and the rockets NEED a big in this case two bigs I think we keep mcgrady and let that contract come off in 2010 offer joe johnson max deal In 08-09 Brooks/Lowery Taylor/White Ariza/Budinger Scola/Landry Murphy/Hibbert In 09-10 Brooks/Lowery Johnson/Taylor Ariza/Budinger Scola/Landry Murphy/Hibbery or Yao starting maybe trade Murphy for a 3 What do u guys think of this Hibbert is a guy that's 7'2 and can block shots and grab boards oh yeah and he is young
He'll become a free agent at the end of next season, and general managers will be lining up to meet with him at the stroke of midnight. Then the Rockets will end up losing him for nothing because, they're going to be focused on signing Bosh, and they can't afford to sign both. I predict Morey will trade him at the deadline for another expiring and a first round pick, which would give us two first round picks in the 2010 draft, which would help accelerate the rebuild.
Please explain why the Pacers are giving up two of their bigs for basically Battier, a guy who already plays same position as their best player (Granger). Hmm yes trades are cool, but there has to be reason for both sides to want the trade to go down.
Yeah I was just looking at the same thing...this isn't a video game. Troy Murphy is a beast on the boards, Indiana is not stupid.
What point about TMac contract and the team's cap don't you understand. If we keep TMac and just let his contract expire we will not have the whole 23 mil to play with in 2010. We will only have around 9-10mil which will not get us a star. Our best bet is to try and trade for a star now and if it's Amare or Bosh hope that they sign an extention.
The reason is they are struggling and need expiring contracts ok maybe not include murphy I'll take foster the main big I want is Hibbert and I'm sorry I threw this out there but with some of the other STUPID trade ideas might as well this board seems to be filled with BS
All of u guys think Amare or Bosh is the answer I'm sorry but these two guys aren't superstars and in my humble opinion will not ever win without another superstar on their team and we don't have another superstar on the roster
I agree with your first line OP....then it just went south. Scola is the heart and soul of this team now. Love his fire.
Amare uh, no Bosh uh, no seriously like I said before Hibbert is the center I want if Yao is done and change the idea of everything goes through the center mentality the rockets have had since the dream
You do realize that if we let tmacs contract expire and don't take on any other big contracts we have somewhere around 20 mill in 2010?
No we don't. Yao's contract precludes us from doing that. I'm not in favor taking big contracts like Murphy or even Bosh,we need 1st round draft picks more than ending up in the 1st or at best in 2nd round now.
I'm always one to take up for OP's who start threads and get bashed because most of the time its a little teenager who just wants to start that thread that everyone will respond too. Now in this case WTF is this thread about and its purpose again ? Is this a rumor or just something from your imagination ?
